Solo Ads Business Questions

Hi..

So im in solo ads business for about 3 weeks now.. I have 180 subcribers and they are growing..

Im about to make swap with other sellers.. But im wondering how i can track clicks that i'll send?

Yeah, when i bought solo ads seller did sent me clicks report. So how they manage to send/track 100/200 or 1000 clicks when they have 30k lists?

The main question is

1 : how i can track clicks that i'll send?
2 : How i can control how much click that i'll send?

You need more than 180 subscribers to sell solo ads. Some marketers recommend starting with 4000.

You first need to establish a predictable click rate for your list, then you will be able to judge just how responsive your list is.

There are a lot of tracking services ClixTrac is one.

I'd like to know why you'd go through all that trouble to build a list just so you can sell solo ads. Maye I'm really biased since I've been burned in the past by shoddy solo sellers, but this is like the new guru rush: "START YOUR SOLO AD BUSINESS!" here and there and everywhere.

There are many ways to monetize your list that don't require selling solo ads, and they make far more money than any solo seller does. But hey, I'm biased.

Your head think about this wrong. :p

Study the art of list building, produce content, and begin building your list. Make it targeted, make it awesome, and deliver value. Weave relevant and useful affiliate offers in every so often and you'll make money.

Selling solo ads has become a whorehouse of scammers and charlatans. Bad form, bad form.

I use paid tracking service -- AdTrackz Gold

There are free options good to use starting
out if you're on a budget.

In fact, I recommend using the free option
first until you get your bearings.

I couldn't tell you how to control how many
      clicks to send.

I believe there is a script of some kind by a
solo seller by the name of John Cornetta.

The script basically re-directs traffic from a
single solo ad to another customer on auto
-pilot when the quota has been filled.

I don't personally work with vendors who do
this because I like my offers to be targeted to
my offer...since I am paying for it...but there
are many people who don't mind if you do
it, so long as the traffic IS coming from your
      list.

I agree. It just doesn't make much sense trading you're hard won list for ad's or another list marketers list. That is why you have joint ventures.

After all, as a list builder you create authority and credibility with your list before you make any money. Isn't that the point?

For me it would be like selling one of my children for what? Cheap ad space?

      Maybe I just don't understand.

      Tell me more... please

        I don't understand either.
I've tried to wrap my head around it.

        Hmmmm.

Spend my hard earned dollars to build a list. check
Build a relationship to provide more value. double check.
Give my list away in exchange for subscribers who are burned out and maybe even paid to subscribe. No bueno.

Solo ad selling is not a feasible long term strategy for everyone.

Its kind of like claiming that you have a business when your only source of traffic is google and SEO??!!??!

I am thinking of starting a solo ad business but need to build up my subscribers first.

I was also considering a swap but your post makes complete sense.

Yea you need a bigger list. I have 15k subscibers now an do not plan on offering solo ads yet, maybe at 30k subscribers.

180 people on your list and your looking to get into the solo ads business already? Maybe a bit too soon.

And others are right, solo ads are basically just marketers swapping around subscribers which don't buy from them. The guys that really make money from it will have huge lists and properly segment them so as not to lose ay valuable buying subs. With 180 people or even 1080 people on your list this isn't a good practice.

180 people on your list is not enough subscribers first of all. Second of all I totally agree with the posters above me, forget about the solo ads business. Instead focus on building a real business and building credibility with your subscribers.

I value my list too much to sell a solo ad to or swap with. But there are guys out there that do run these businesses and do it right. Research and learn from them. It takes a great deal of up front investment to get this done in my opinion. You definitely have to be in it for the long run if you plan to run this business model.

The OP was asking for advice on how to track clicks and how to control them so while I may agree with the responses, they're not called for.

Another thing I think some people are overlooking is that English may not be the OP's first language so 'crafting a skillful message' may not really be an option.

180 is small but everybody has to start somewhere...

    Good luck!

You can use a tracker on your squeeze page, if you have access to its html code. If not, use bit.ly tracker. If you intend to buy some more solos send me a PM, I might be able to point you in some directions.

180 subscribers are not enough. You need more. I myself started to sell solo ads when I reached 5000 subscribers. You need to test first how responsive your list are before you move on further.

In order to track your clicks, you need to get a tracker. I'm personally recommending adtrackzgold.

You need tracking service or software to do this. A good one for tracking clicks going in and out is "My Click Boss". There's a one time fee for the software and also a light version you can use if you just getting started.

A great piece of software you can use is Core Click Maximizer - it's off the market now, but if you look around for it - you'll see it around.

Another I've heard good reviews about is Quality Click Control.

    The answer is simple.
Use a tracker to track your clicks and count them. Like "my click boss" or "Clickmagick"

    Good Luck

Yeah my clickboss is good. I got it running on a box. Keep in mind that there's a new PRO version that you need to pay monthly for a license. Old version was $80 i think ? Anyways, track your stuff first. Also you don't have enough subscribers for now. You will not be able to substain your biz. Keep that in mind please !

Wait until you reach at least 4k like someone said

This response is coming from my personal experience as a solo ad customer. Be careful, be very careful. In 2012 I made the regrettable decision to give Extreme Solo Ads a try. I purchased their Silver Pack and after some 18,856 clicks, I was left $200 out-of-pocket and not ONE SINGLE conversion to show for it.

My second attempt was quite similar as the solo ad "guru" who swayed me and a number other internet marketers via some highly persuasive webinars, disappeared after collecting payment. Every attempt to reach out to him hit a brick wall. Another $100 loss.

Sorry JohnnyEnglish but I am not trying to burst your bubble and I am in no way suggesting that your service is of the same caliber, but that is my personal experience. Soloads are also infamous for triggering spam action because as more and more advertisers jump on board, subscribers quickly get overwhelmed by all kinds of offers that in some cases, don't even remotely appeal to their interest.

Anyway, I wish you all the best with your solo ad project and if you are still looking for a good tracking service, you may wish to try Hypertracker. I have been using them for many years and I like the ease of use and metric value. It's just about $20 per month. Just my honest 2 cents
