New Brilliant Way (To Me) to Promote Affiliate Products

I got an e-mail from Brad Fallon this afternoon. He told me that I needed to click on the link and save the sales page on my hard-drive. The copy was top-notch and should be in my swipe file.

So, being an aspiring copywriter, I clicked on the link...

...and it was an affiliate link for Maverick Money Makers.

I have been a member of MMM in the past, and I know that it doesn't live up to the hype, but it is a KILLER sales page. I do have to give credit where credit is due.

I thought it was interesting that Brad promoted the sales page and not the product itself. In fact, I am sure that since the copy is so good on the page, Brad made quite a bit in affiliate commissions from not even promoting the product directly.

I just hope they did what he said and saved the sales page, for I feel sorry for them if they paid the $97 to join.

    Hi Woody:

Can you tell us please what were the strong points that you felt the text had that you don't always read?

Good luck on your own writing.

    Thanks Woody
Yes, what was it that took your breath away. Thanks for the heads up on MMM, we all need to know who does not live up to their claims. Peace, Mike

      Here is a dumb question...

Why would someone like Brad Fallon promote a product like MMM?

Joint Venture partners have many reasons to promote. Rarely is "wow this is just such a good product" one of them. Usually it's trading favors, part of a larger deal, or jumping on the trend. MMM has very high CB gravity so when bored and looking for something to promote, it's a clear candidate.

Not to mention he promoted...was the main promoter of... The Arbitrage Conspiracy, which I have heard bad things about as well.

Of course, AC was also promoted and hyped to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, just like MMM. I guess some marketers just like to ride the hype machine.

I can't see what is so great about the copy. It's all about what he does and doesn't want lol. What about the buyer and how the system benefits them?

Not being picky, but it sure didn't suck me in.

I agree that the sales page is pretty good but it's similar to many other products in the "make money" niche. I heard (though I don't know for a fact) that it was modeled off of another very successful sales letter for a product that sold very well a couple of years ago. MMM is a waste of money, BTW & I unsubscribe from anyone's list who directs me there - because I know they haven't reviewed it (they're just in it for the commission)!

TO THOSE ASKING ABOUT THE COPY: The pre-headline get the targeted audiences attention that leads into the headline that gives an implied benefit: a system making him $171,834...in hours a day, that he wants to show us how to use. Who wouldn't want a system like that?

Then he goes into the story. STORY! He worked hard and never had anything left. Then he had to choose to do something better for his child and that is when he devised the system to not work (so he can spend time with his family) and make lots and lots of money.

One of the things I found different, yet psychologically persuasive, was the use of color for the bullet points about what he did want in life (green) and didn't want in life (red). Do you see the color psychology?

The thing in the copy that SOLD ME when I joined was the videos. He has a proof, peak inside, testimonial, etc video. All together, he probably shows us over an hour of very well place video. And they were all from the mid-point down in the copy!

So...if I was once again starting out in Internet Marketing, and I had not visited the Warrior Forum to know how crappy the actual "Club" is, then I would happily give him $97 to discover a system to make me $171,837 working just hours a day. I mean, afterall, he did struggle just like me then decided to change his life like I am.

TO JEREMEY KELSALL --> I did immediately unsubscribe from Brad's list after discovering the he was promoting MMM. I lost respect for his marketing.

Someone thinks the sales page works enough to copy it. There's another sales page that looks very much like MMM's. See Suthan M's offer @ nicheprophecy.com/wso (I have no affiliation with this nor do I know if it works, just pointing it out.) I'm not saying the testimonials here are fake (I recognize some of the names) but they all sound like they were written by the same person (whose native language is not English).
