Are the mods here also take care of member's problems with sellers like in Black Hat World?

"If you have a problem with another Warrior, a Guru, or God, take it up with them directly. Not here. No exceptions. "

Does this rule only goes for personal problems? Not with problems with products and services that we encounter from sellers here in WF or do mods also help with those?

  • If you have a problem with a product or service from a WF seller, then use the "report post" icon. It's the red triangle icon with an exclamation point in it under the person's name.

When you use the report post button / icon, make sure you only list the most relevant of facts, leave out an inflammatory language and feelings, and make sure that you put yourself into the moderator's shoes. If you were on the other side of this what information would you need to take action?

Also bear in mind that the mods are limited to what they can do. They can only ban sellers or nuke their accounts if they are found violating the rules.

The rule that you quoted is to keep people from making their grievances public in the forum. That is not the place for it.

    • Hurray, RoD speaks everything.

Yes, indeed if you have a problem on a deal with specific seller, it doesn't matter if he's a Warrior of eBayer.

Is it better to solve it privately rather than bringing up public.

  • Banned
Not really ... but they can sometimes prevent whatever happened to you from happening to other members.

What they do is more likely to be "for the good of the forum" than necessarily helpful in an individual case. So do bring it to their attention (privately). For example, if people are caught out not honoring a refund promise, their WSO will be closed and they might be banned. In other words, it doesn't necessarily help you, but it can still help us.

And good luck getting your own problem resolved.

  • Hi,

Thanks for clearing this out to me.

That's why I didn't say anything bad about him about that problem here because I'm still waiting for a reply and hoping to clear things up.

Who know's what happened to the seller, he was able to deliver many sales before as I can see in the sales page with good results and now this.

I'm gonna wait up to a week and if there's still no answer that's the time I'd make a report about it.

It's my first time buying something here in WF and what a memorable experience.

    • There could just be a simple reason for it.

      A family problem
      Health problem and so on..

if it's not like the seller to respond like usual, then it's best just waiting for a certain amount of time, before taking further action.

      Regards,

      Lee
