Subscriber Offer Idea - Good or Bad

All,

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I could not find a thread.

OK, I promote 5 affiliate offers and have a subscriber list of ~350 people right now.

Has anyone tried the following.

Send out a broadcast to your subscribers saying something like........ If you join affiliate X by Midnight April 6th, I pay you $XX?

As an example, I'm thinking if an affiliate membership cost $100 per month(and I get 100% commission) of that and I offer to "pay back" someone $50 of that (one time) that would entice people to "act now".

I would also make clear the process for getting the $50, like not getting it until after 30 days in order to avoid people signing up, and immediatley canceling once they get the $50.

Does this make sense. Is it stupid or otherwise misguided?

Thank you,

It's always best to test it yourself.

What works for one, doesn't always mean will work for other.

Very similar thing is happening in the IM niche already, except in a form of bonuses, not money.

Before you do that, have you 'fed' them enough? Sort of Pavlov indoctrination.

Have you created your avatar's profile?

What's their pain in the ass?

Have you injected JA's style in 'fertilizing' your list?

If you already have 'em, then it's easy for you now to aim the hot button.

    Test your headline
    Test your story
    Test your CTA

    All the best

I did something similar to this but I didn't give them actually money. I went to fiverr and bought around 100 $50 bing vouchers said if they join XYZ they get free PPC training, full campaign set up + $50 in their account.

Converted fairly well but refunds can be much higher - Good Luck

Please do not use your signature to promote affiliate/MLM programs

This is a nice idea! I like that you spent $5 but made much more than that and people saw the value of it

Thank you for all the replies. Another (yet similar) thought was to run a contest.

E-mail my subscribers and state that whoever joins affiliate X by X date/time will be entered to win $X's. It would need to have rules such as being an affiliate for say 45 days and me not actually drawing the winner until 45 days.

This would assure folks just didn't join, then cancel immediately if I announced the winner too soon.

I'm just trying to think of creative ways to get more of my ~700 subscribers to join programs.

I am also searching for how to to keep subscribers opening your e-mails (i.e. free products, etc.)

        Your thoughts are appreciated.

Shoemoney recently sent out an email where if you joined the course he was promoting and stayed signed up for at least 30 days he bought you an ipad.
