Bought a site, how can I upload it to wordpress?

Use fantastico to install wordpress.

Upload the folder contents of the site, overwriting the files already there.

Go into the database using phpmyadmin and import the sql file you should have received.

Change the login/pass in the wp-config.php file.

Fantastico is amazing, and if you are on Hostgator they have an even better tool called Quickinstall

Really? I didn't know about that. Anyway, I bought this one from here and there's an added fee for the installation. I don't mind paying an extra fee for it but I thought of why not learning it myself and ask help here if I'm lost. Which is happening to me right now by the way ha ha!

Sorry for the confusion.

I have the zip file for the site that I bought.

What I mean to ask is should I upload it from the wordpress site I just installed?

Or should I upload it via ftp, mysql database etc?

The file I unzippedwas

CelebBlogPackage

Then these two zip files came out

CelebBlog

and

database

I really looked but there was no instructions.

Maybe because it's really their intention to install it for a fee.

then the rest are files like

wp-activate.php
400.shtml
favicon.ico

as if all what's left is to upload this but how? or where in wordpress?

ok you need to contact the person you purchased from. There is a few things that you may have to do

If you installed wordpress from fanatstico you would need to use a ftp client such as filezilla to upload the files you have just unzipped overwriting the ones fantastico created.

You would then need to unzip the database and upload the tables there to the database created for your site using php.myadmin in cpanel.

Once you have done this you would need to edit one of the php files with your own database details. I imagine this may done by opening the wp-activate php file in your browser

I would also guess that you should have been supplied a password for the blog by the person you purchased from because once you upload the tables to your database it will change your original password.

Contact the person you purchased from and ask them to send you installation instructions.
