Why would you want to rank your site slowly? There is no long-term advantage in ranking a site fast or slow...Up to you though

PPC is one way. SEO and SMO are the others.

The same things that work best for an old site.

You need to attract traffic to your site by getting a clickable link to your site in front of targeted potential visitors who are already looking for information/content/material of the type that's on your site.

SEO is one way of doing that, but is limited to people who are looking for that by having put one of your keywords into a search engine. Personally, I'd advise you not to put too much of your time and effort into trying to attract "organic SERP's" traffic, for two main reasons: first, it's very precarious and makes your business Google-dependent, and any business that's Google-dependent is no more than one algorithm-change away from a potential accident (or even a potential disaster), as so many Warriors have been finding out over the last year or two, some of them to their very great cost; secondly, for me, search engine traffic has been uniformly the worst-converting traffic out of everything I've ever tried in 8 entirely different niches over the whole of the last 4 years - search engine visitors to all my websites typically stay the least time, view the fewest pages, opt in the least often and actually buy anything by far the least often. I admit I do get tons of search engine traffic to all my main sites (because high rankings for multiple keywords happen to be a minor side-benefit of the main targeted traffic-generation method I use to build my business) but I'd certainly hate to have to make a living just from that traffic, and I wouldn't even be cursing too much if Google de-indexed all my sites this afternoon.

So, there are many ways of attracting targeted traffic. If it helps you, this is the one that works much better for me, in all my niches, than anything else I've ever tried.

This is because no one really knows how to do SEO safely and correctly and don't know how to do keyword research...I've never spent a dime in advertising and can launch a site and be earning in 2 days....sorry, but there is far too much misinformation on this forum...my sites saw zero impact with all the cute animal updates from Google

If you are into free traffic techniques then what you just started with is fine but also what has really worked for me is Article Marketing, Videos, Forum Marketing and Social Media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

Try article marketing as an addition to your traffic methods, it has worked for me a while back and it is still working up to now. And the beauty of article marketing is that your articles get to be syndicated throughout the web by the Article Directories and other webmasters as well. One more thing is give it time, with free traffic you can't expect quick results, you do it and then wait for it to pick up. Otherwise go with paid traffic.

SEO would be your best traffic source.

Write a lot and write for humans and the SEO traffic will sort out on it's own.
