As you know, Google has been recently severe on some of the article directories. So what you think a new born articles directory like EssenceArticles should consider to keep its authority (Page Rank) and its rankings high?

    Yes, that's been a good thing for article marketers. As so many of us have been commenting in so many discussions here, over the last couple of years.

    That's made it easier and safer for us to use article directories for their intended purpose, without the risk that our potential customers might ever find those articles (the last thing we'd want to happen, of course, for all the reasons explained in this post.)

    Articles in article directories are published on newly-formed PR-0 pages anyway, regardless of the page rank of the site's own home page. Page ranks have nothing to do with it at all.

    From an article marketer's perspective, high page ranks would be a disadvantage, anyway, not an advantage. We clearly wouldn't want an article directory copy outranking the copy originally published and indexed on our own site.

    Article marketers (who know what they're doing) aren't trying to generate traffic or backlinks from an article directory: simply to use it as a directory in which to list/provide their work as available for re-publication. http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872
