Internet marketing manager

I have noticed that many large companies are looking for internet marketing managers. So I was wondering if it's full-time job, how much do they earn and what exactly is their job?

I know a person here in California that makes almost 6 figures doing. He has been in the field for 10+ years and is planning to retire soon.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Funny thing is. If you're GOOD at it, you probably wouldn't need a job as a manager. lol. Just my 2 cents. But I believe many good marketers are hired on contract to consult large companies.

There are some advantages to working for a company.
    One being medical benefits.
And, many people fail at IM because they simply don't have the personal discipline to do it on their own.
Working for a company and being held accountable provides the stability and security not provided with being self-employed.

That is all nice, but nobody really answered my questions.

Is that a full-time job or they work 4-5 hours a day, and what exactly is their job?

You would be surprised on how much of a demand there really is for this type of job. I've been doing it over 10 years myself and it keeps getting better.

I would be curious as to how you would land a job too.

Are these companies not looking for some sort of qualification in internet marketing also as well as working for some sort of agency. company experience etc.

How does one back up what they can actually do at an interview stage ? do you show a website or something ?

Internet marketing managers make good money. There are many companies in america who are seeking internet marketing pros (with degrees) to boost revenue and use the internet to get new clients.

      Your right.

I think unless you have a qualification in internet marketing a company will not let you through the door for an interview.

Its a pity as many people could do the job but just lacking that "piece of paper"
