Clickbank Product Testimonials-How Do You Get Them Without Someone Stealing the Product?

Hey everyone,

I have a pretty good idea for a Clickbank product. However, I really would like to get some solid positive testimonials and even feedback how I could make the product better, before I actually launch it.

The dilemma is, how do I get these testimonials and feedback without someone stealing my idea and putting on Clickbank before I launch it?

I realize copycats are inevitable there, but I really don't want to be a copycat to my own product.

Before people ask, no, this product has nothing to do with the IM niche.

Some experienced Clickbank vendor advice would be welcomed here.

Thank you so much for your time in advance.

Jason

Get them from people you know and trust.
I'd say 90% of Warriors are trustworthy and would give you an honest testimonial and not violate your trust.
But, you still have to watch out for the other 10%.

Hire a few writers. They usually just like to write about the products / service and have no desire to launch a website.

Don't even worry about that. The day you put your product live on ClickBank someone can steal your idea. Chances are no one will until it's proven to be successful. Personally I wouldn't worry about that. Also you may just want to wait until you can get some real testimonials from your paying customers. Despite what most people think you don't need testimonials from day one.

You can try launching the product as a WSO first at a reduced price to get testimonials and feedback.

    This is a common strategy.

That would be way I'd go too!

Although if it's not in the IM area, things might be slower for you.

Just go ahead...get it done and on the market.

At this early stage, you can't dwell on something that may never happen

Ask a few well-known marketers to review your product. It's very unlikely they're going to steal your product because you can ruin their reputation with a few bad reviews. It also makes your product look more legitimate since many people know and trust them.

If I were you I would launch it as a WSO. This gets you some sales, and some review from people in the IM niche.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

However, some of you seem to have missed that I said, this product would not be in IM

Therefore, WSO is out of the question.

1rst. come up with the best possible name / names and by the ulrs. It might not eliminate the chance completely but will reduce the chance of someone stealing it.

2nd create the product/webpage and get it online before someone else does. It doesn't have to be live but if you are positioned to go you'll beat them to the punch and if you do that you'll be able to create a brand before they do.

3rd share it with people you trust or create a limited time WSO before your official launch to get some testimonials.

4rth. Hurry up and get something going and build some testimonials as you go along. All the worlds ideas are out there in the ether so you need to go while you still can and not worry too much about it. If you take action doors will open before you where there was only walls.

I hope that helps, if so please press the thanks button, it will help out my profile, thanks!

He specifically said the product is NOT in the IM niche.

I really wouldn't worry about it. I think you are worrying about something that would probably not even happen. I mean it is your product and idea so you are always going to think of it more highly but in reality, would someone really be that adamant on copying your idea right away? And if they did, so what? It's only good ideas that are worth copying so take it as a compliment and just be better than they are.

Just go ahead and launch the thing and stop worrying about things that are out of your control. Do you think McDonalds worried about another hamburger shop opening after them? No, they just focused on being the best at what they do so even if competition started, it wouldn't worry them.

I think you are allowing a simple worry to stop you from going forward on this.

You have to allow yourself to get this done and not put a minor or even non-existent stumbling block in your way. This is just a hypothetical situation at this point so why worry about it?

Especially since it's not IM niche, the chances of one of those reviewers stealing your idea is extremely low.

Just get the thing up on ClickBank and start selling already. Your customers will let you know what areas need fixing, etc. as far as your product goes.

DO NOT become a perfectionist... There will always be things you'll want to improve so it's important to release it and start selling, test as you go and make small improvements.

Ideas are ten a penny. Rarely (never?) is the idea so good that it mAkes a successful product by itself.

What makes successful product is an okay or better idea, plus great execution. The execution is what takes time and effort.

Look at some of the most successful products on cb - how to lose weight, get better abs, make money with affiliate programs, etc., is it really the idea that differentiates the winning products?

(plus: you don't need testimonials to start, and the real testimonials you want are from paying customers)

A few thoughts from someone whose ideas HAVE BEEN stolen (one by a "friend" no less.)

    1. One surefire way to never get it stolen is to never release it. That way you know for sure. Of course it doesn't help anyone or make any money either. But it won't be stolen.

    2. Someone has probably already had the same idea in one form or another and they probably will again in the future. Whose to say that YOU didn't steal someone else's idea that you heard or saw somewhere - even unconsciously?

    3. Don't do what I did - absolute fear about this held me back for YEARS. Yes you need to protect yourself but don't let it hold you back one more minute. If multimillion dollar record and movie companies can't keep their stuff off the free for all sites you won't be able to either.

    4. As WillR mentioned - go in committed to being the best you can. If someone "steals" your idea you hit them with version 2. Then hit them with personal coaching and a slick magazine and software and audio recording, etc. Then hit them with marketing and articles and PPC and newsletters and TV ads and billboards and... The point is there are a bunch of cola products but 2 stand supreme and most would argue one is better known than the other. Bunch of hamburger fast food but one stands supreme. Why are they supreme? Always moving, growing, reminding people they are #1, adding to the menu, trying new things, running constant advertisements even though they are supreme, etc.

    5. New ideas love speed. If you are really worried about it release it TODAY. NOW. If it's ready for testimonials it's ready to release. THEN get the testimonials if you must. Get the page up and start driving traffic TODAY.

    Mark

    Hey Jason =)

Some experienced advice? You got it =)

First off, you said you have an IDEA, ie, not an actual product. That makes a big difference. No one can give a testimonial on an idea. How to make the product better? Well, no one has any idea because there isn't a product yet, right?

My best advice? Move forward....create your product. Yes, make it real. Since it's not IM related, the odds of getting a genuine testimonial from WF are slim to none. We have no clue what your niche is or anything like that so no one can give genuine testimony to an unnamed niche or undeveloped product.

However, all that said, you've been here in WF for quite a while. Perhaps you can get testimonials about YOU. YOUR value as a teacher, marketer, etc. When a product launches, sometimes the best you can have is feedback from others telling how trustworthy you are. Then you wait on real live customers to give you genuine product feedback. I did that, and to me, it worked out great. I don't want to fake any testimonials, ya know?

Your product is outside the IM niche... it's yet to be developed because it's still an idea. Yes, there is the risk if you reach out that someone could steal your idea. That's just life in the fast lane 'round here. Nasty, but true.

BUT, as I said before, you've been around a while. So why not reach out to those you have built relationships with to get feedback? If you built good relationships, no one is going to steal your idea - they will just ask is you have an affiliate program =)

If your relationships with others in this business are built on integrity, there won't be a problem. They are the ones that will willingly give a testimonial about YOU - regardless of your product.

    Just go for it -

    Jennifer

You're worrying too much. Your product probably isn't that good. Even if it is the chances of someone stealing it and having it up on Clickbank before you are slim to none. Get people you know and trust to review it.

Some pretty good suggestions here and I would like to add this.

If you haven't got the product started you should focus on that for now because if you don't you'll waste too much time fretting over something that may or may not happen.

Hope it works out for you.
