Which warrior makes the most from their Kindle books each month? Let's see some proof!

It's really no secret that tons and tons of people are making money by publishing books to the Amazon Kindle store.

I'm curious which Warrior is actually making the most money each month by doing this?

I challenge Warriors to post screenshots of their current Kindle earnings...

I think it would serve as GREAT motivation for those on the fence about publishing Kindle books, to get in the game sooner than later.

Here's the first 6 weeks earnings from my very first book published (not having a clue what I was doing at the time)

2013-04-06_2135 - callenb's library

I've written more since then, but wanted to post stats for my very first one to show everyone that this is something ANYONE can do with limited knowledge.

Just think what numbers are attainable if you know what you're doing!

Who's got better stats? :-P

Cool! Got a few Qs for ya.

    What is your book about?

    Did you promote it?

    If so, How?

I know this is not what you were asking for, Just curious.

Hey, the stats for the one I showed were for a non-fiction book. That's about as specific as I can get without someone taking my topic :-)

Nope, didn't promote it. I would have, if I knew what I was doing at the time. Remember, this was my first book and I was clueless. I definitely do now.

        Thats Cool, protecting your topic.

So, you are promoting it now? How?

Those results were from no promotion, just Amazonian Browsers? I am intrigued.

Last Qs, and I'll leave you alone....

Good job man. I only have on ebook on Kindle and it's free. It's not the kind of book I'd try to promote or sell since it's a personal story. Nonetheless I plan on putting out a few educational books out soon and hope to distribute them on all different platforms again. If you haven't done so already I suggest using Lulu or even Smashwords to get your book out to more readers.

Hey, now I'm promoting via Facebook, SEO, related email lists, and Twitter. So, nothing really all that crazy :-)

Yeah, those results were from no promotion. It's all about finding a hot topic/niche with low competition.

Uhh, because as soon as your earnings are deposited in your bank account you just disclosed that information to the bank and are in breach?

Anyway, the book belongs to Brad and it is his earnings. If you were a lawyer and not trying to play a lawyer, and had read the full contract you would see Amazon distinguishes between sales and royalty payments.

Brad did not mention sales at all. He only referred to his royalty earnings. Big difference.

              Ironically ...

You will not ... make any other public disclosures regarding this Agreement or its terms ...
Which means by mentioning the TOS in the forum you just breach the TOS. (And I guess I did too!)

As a lawyer, I find this statement hilarious. He's a lawyer, not God. His word or interpretation is not the law.

Exactly what I came here to chime in with...not worth the risk!

People have run into problems with sharing their revenue info online in forums, on their blogs, etc, regardless of what the rest of #7 says.

Sure, nothing may happen. You can post it about it excruciating detail all day long. But it has happened to others before, so it's too risky IMO

I tried to attach an image showing earnings from late last year (it was $235 something) but the forum glitched and wouldn't let me. Anyway, I don't promote my stuff on Kindle (much). Too busy writing. Which is key. Write more, sell more.

Anyway, go home, Callen! Ain't nobody got time to be givin' you no proofs!

I've made $50 in the first 2 weeks of publishing my 'seduction' book, including 1 sale of the physical copy I made on createspace, which gives a $7 royalty as opposed to $3.75 for the kindle version.

$1k your first month... sounds like you got a real winner there, Brad. Would recommend you do a Createspace version and translate that mug into a couple of other languages.

    This thread is really funny.

    1. Guy posts to try to inspire and motivate, hoping other will do the same.
    2. 0 posts about what was asked for
    3. Post turns into a heated debate about Amazon's TOS.

This is sort of everything that's wrong with forums. lol...

    4. And more "heated debate" to come I'm sure :-P

Well, forums would be very boring if everyone stayed on
topic. On-topic forums just do not survive.

The only place posters stay on-topic is in the off-topic
section of the forum because it is impossible to go off-topic
      in an off-topic section.

Most threads asking people to reveal how much they're making go this way. With all the pirates, hackers, crackers, slackers and thieves lurking around every cyber corner it would be foolish to put your personal business out there on a public forum. Anyone who does is asking for trouble.

Wow. I am impressed with how guys are doing here! I actually have ZERO income so no problems with amazon disclosure laws and all that, right?

I am a newbie to IM (just started 3 months ago) but I have written 8 books offline (most christian based) before starting Internet marketing a few months ago. Can anyone give me tips on how to successfully publish those old books on Kindle for money?

They are all 100% original thoughts I wrote a few years back before I even knew what a PLR was, but I only sold in churches for a while and then didnt do anything with it and from what I am hearing I may be able to make some money on it on this Kindle thing

Can any of the big boys here help me out or I am way out of my league in this thread...any help will be appreicated

If they're already written, the hard part is over. Now it's just a matter of formatting them properly, getting (or designing yourself) an eye-catching cover, and then writing a good description and using good keywords when you upload to KDP. That's about it.

        thanks. I appreciate your response.

Is there any page minimum or maximum or do you have any WSO you can refer me to read up properly on it. Most of my books are in the 150-200 page range when formated on 6x9

There's no page minimum or maximum; you just need to use common sense. No one is going to pay $5.99 for a 10 page book (well, they might, but then get a refund and leave you a bad review). Likewise, if you have a 200 page novel and you charge $0.99 for it permanently, some might question how highly you value your own work, and therefore stay away from it.

You just need to do some testing. It takes awhile but once you find the sweet spot, you're good to go.

Even if you feel like you've found a sweet spot you don't REALLY know whether your sales are up because of inherent randomness or the change you made.

Until Amazon busts out some kind of (even very basic) analytics, it's conjecture. (Or is there something I don't know??)

      Hey Brad,

Here are earnings for Feb 2013

I am using some unconventional methods of promotion you don't see in a lot of these 'guru' courses that are popping up here and elsewhere. In fact I bought some and I would advise not following a lot of the info in them.

      ...

Also, I think the reason a lot of warriors don't want to show their stats is because in reality they aren't making anything despite launching kindle courses

        Hi Brad,

What do you use or should I say what software do you use to format your kindle books properly?

I have a cheapy kindle ebook generator, sometimes they look ok and then sometimes they don't look good at all..

just wondered what you use or what you recommend...

Also, how many books do you now have on kindle?

and without disclosing what your approx. monthly from all of them is, can you toss out a ballpark figure to give a motivating idea of what others could expect from publishing with kindle?

I have a 3 published and have 6 more written and ready to convert and publish. I make a sale here and there from each without any type of promotion at all, all sales coming strictly from amazon search.

With a little promotion I assume numbers could triple fairly easily???

        thanks in advance,
        Geo

Hey Geo, I use Brian Johnson's Word Press plugin called WordPress AuthorTheme. There might be fancier ones out there, but for me, this one is easy and does the trick.

We have a bunch of books and are working on a bunch more. It's hard to give an exact number. We're constantly cranking out quality books. After I saw the success of book #1, I've learned a lot and have a nice process going. I think making $500/month with a book should be fairly easy, if you're going after the right niches. From there, if you do the math, you can figure out how much is possible to make in a month, depending on the number of books you put out. One of the keys, though, is putting out quality and not just cranking out garbage to get mass numbers of books out there. It's very counterproductive if you do that. Sounds like things are picking up for you, with 6 more books on the way. Awesome!

Thanks Brad, I will checkout that plugin....

I figure to stay in the single niche I'm in and I do everything myself like I have been so the quality should stay very good.

Once I see things improve in the money end of things I'll try to expand in my niche and use some sub niches to go above and beyond..

I appreciate the feedback from everyone that posted to this thread, some great info.

I am using some unconventional methods of promotion you don't see in a lot of these 'guru' courses that are popping up here and elsewhere. In fact I bought some and I would advise not following a lot of the info in them.

If you are interested in learning how to publish on ibooks, kindle or elsewhere, I would love to help some warriors for free. Just send me a PM.

Also, I think the reason a lot of warriors don't want to show their stats is because in reality they aren't making anything despite launching kindle courses
Is that from 1 book or multiple books? Is that revenue from the books pretty much the same every month?

Great post. I have inboxed you on my interest to learn at your feet on how this kindle deal works. Brad Callen seems to think you know whatsup about this Kindle business (and I do know a lot of good stuff about Brad Callen that makes me trust his judgement) and you have offered to help a rookie like me.

Though i have no problem spending money buying WSO in order ot really learn, I dont want to waste time buying wrong WSOs. I will be happy to buy any you recommend to reduce my dependncy on you or reduce the time you have to spend helping me out.

    Hi,
I really would like to get into publishing Kindle books. I saw this amazing training on how to find a good niche. The end product was $1000.00. Looked really good, but, too much money!
Congrats on your book. Looks like you are off to a good start.
