Need help with a wordpress site

Hello warriors,

I need your help. I am making a web site for a local company. It's a wordpress site, made with artisteer. All is good except when I view it in Internet Explorer 8 it's screwed up - the footer jumps up to the right column, under the widgets there (so the rrs and "copyrighted by" lines are all displayed under the quote widget)

I've never had this problem before and I just can't figure out why it's doing it. Anyone has any ideas? I would really appreciate it.
Here's the (test) site where this is happening. Home
Again, it looks good in firefox, but the IE8 is messed up.
Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Looks good to me. Might be something in your local settings for IE?

sounds like you got the 5 pixel jump bug.

    if you can edit css.

go into the element, and if you have a right margin, and your floating an element to the right, add display:inline; to the css rule.

Internet Explorer is well known for being a crap browser and not following all the web standards very well. I really can't believe some people still use it to be honest. When I go back to IE just to test something I am amazed at how slow it is compared to other browsers.

In any case, if it's a browser compatibility issue then I would find an HTML programmer (search Google for psd to html and you'll find plenty of them) and have them sort out the browser compatibility issue once and for all.

Charles where exactly would I find that line (generally) in a wordpress "theme" -> "edit?"

True, IE8 isn't exactly that popular today, and it's possible it's just my comp (have some strange stuff going on with IE) but still, would be nice to figure out what's wrong with it.

    Thank you for responses guys

under appearance, then click on the editor, if you wanna know what element to edit download chrome, then right click the element and go to inspect element, once you find the element you need to edit, search for it in the theme editor.

I don't think you should bother with IE, that browser have a lot of bad reputation for having bad design and slow connection speed. FYI, IE is heavily bugged, and there are rumors that it can send personal information to Microsoft. Your website looks good to me on my opera, chrome, and Firefox, so you don't need to worry about it anymore.

also it could be a resolution thing, never design on a widescreen monitor! if you designed this theme your self.

Thanks a lot for your feed back guys, appreciate it.

As I mentioned the theme is done with Artisteer, which I think creates a pretty well codded/designed themes code wise. Never had any problems with it before on any of my other sites, so was kind of surprised to get this. Guess it's just me with my bugged IE8.
