Helpful tip for people who hate sitting through sales page videos.

I'm not sure if this always works.

But I have tried it on 11 different sites and its worked with all but one, but i'll show you how i got around it.

I know video is taking over - its a very effective marketing tool.

But if you're like me, you hate sitting through videos that dont offer any controls. (fast forward or rewind.)

You never know how long the video is and its a pain to sit through them some time.

So what i've found (and im using an iphone), is if you visit the sales page on your phone -- the controls reappear.

It worked on 10 of 11 sites that had videos and no controls.

I just typed the url into my phone's web browser, pressed play and boom.. I could fast forward through the video.

The reason one site failed to work was because it was a flash video by camtasia..the fix to this was to download the skyfire app to my phone.

It allows you to watch flash videos on an iphone. Im pretty sure other phone users wont have this problem.

Skipping through video is great if you're an affiliate and you're digging for marketing material.

You can also skip through video to find good information for your email marketing campaigns.

And sometimes you just want to buy without the extra hassle.

Anyway, I hope it helps.

That worked for me and thanks. I was stuck in an hour long video and just wanted the meat of it. Moved off the laptop to my phone and voila.

I know there's a chrome & firefox plugin that allows you to be able to pause videos that have the HTML coding disabled for buttons. I'd have to find it but I used it for the same reasons.

    Good luck!

Most of the time when I see a sales video like that I hit the back button and get the popup that says "Wait" then I click to stay on page and I usually get the written sales page. Not always but most of the time

    all

I also use this way, rarely I see the video till the end. I press the exit or back button, then it will say something or offer me something to stay longer. After I press accept, it will redirect me to another page without video.

I still close the page, as anyone who thinks I should sit through their long-form sales letter (in the form of a video) is just trying way too hard. Anyone who has to try that hard just can't have anything to sell that I would be interested in buying.

If you take the link and open it on your phone, you will be able to fast forward it, pause it, or rewind it as you wish.

    Good tip that.

I find that if a video doesnt appear to be getting to the point quick enough I move onto one that does. So this tip should help no end.

I can stand video sales letters where you can't pause, skip
or do anything other than watch. I guess it must work for
the people who are actually going to buy.
