Creating a buyer list and a freebie list?

Hey guys,

Say I have a 'Free Gift' Signup on my website to capture as many visitors' emails as I can...we'll call it the 'freebie' list. If one of those people on the freebie list then makes a purchase at a later time, is it possible to move them to a 'buyers' list automatically when they buy the product? I'd rather not have to manually transfer them over...that way I can build a list full of people who are willing to part with their cash that I can focus my marketing skills on and sell even more stuff to!

Thanks in advance guys!

If you use Aweber, you can require them to sign up to a buyers list in order to complete their download.

Then you can set it up that if they get moved to the new list, they are automatically removed from the freebie list.

Not sure about the other commercial autoresponder applications, but I would assume that they have similar options.

This is all possible with php and mysql. I haven't gone down the aweber route as I'm developing my own at present. When it's complete and packed full of features I may offer it to other people. Of course, this also boils down to your mail servers capabilites and restrictions.
