Favorite Way to Buy High PR Domains?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to purchase a high PR domain, and have a few coins to do it with. I've searched the forum for answers, but really couldn't find a thread that helped. Perhaps I missed something, so I apologize in advance if I did.

Anyway, what is your favorite way to buy a high PR domain? What would you do with a $1000 budget for that sort of purchase?

Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend looking for domains for generic words, 1 to 3 word domains, those will always be worth something. Dot Com domains are the only kind I would spend big money on. Try the godaddy auctions, or try directly contacting owners of domains you want to buy through who-is look up. PR ratings aren't worth much these days, unless they actually rank in the top 10 in a big search engine for a high search volume keyword, the PR is mostly meaningless.

Also, if you have 1,000 dollars, you could buy 1,000 dollars worth of Solo Ads from 30 different people at safe swaps, about 3000 clicks, send it to a squeeze page, and if your squeeze page converts at 50% you'll have a list of 1,500 very responsive people that you can promote affiliate products to daily. Think about looking into that and learning about solos.

Nice, Harrison! I have tested other web elements before using mTurk, so I could build something, test and refine until I had an acceptable conversion rate. Great idea, thanks!
