What is the best video player to use on a salespage?

Right now I am using Easy Video player on the salespage and it takes quite a while to load. I tried Wistia and I encouter the same problem. While YouTube is good, it offers a leak in terms of giving the user the option to watch it on YouTube.

Can you recommend me any service that would really make the videos to load fast and play quickly once the user lands on the salespage?

How large are your movies? Have you tried re-compressing them using a lower bit rate? You can also make them a smaller image size.

Need to check that. I guess what you are talking about is if the video file size is a GB or a MB or am I way off here? Sorry I am not very good at tech stuff.

Are you using wordpress on the site that you're trying to play the video on? If you are then you might want to use Hana FLV Player.

You also might want to check out Krunchlabs.com It's got support for a bunch of devices and even lets you display opt-in forms in the video. Best of all you can start using it for only $19.00 a month.

All of these are great suggestions. The first sanity check here is to make sure your video isn't big. The correct size of the video really depends on the length of the video as well as the dimension size. If you filmed a 2-hour IMAX movie that's one thing, if you filmed a little "hello!" video for 30-seconds that fits in a really small window, that's another.

You could always use free hosting at YouTube and Vimeo and use some privacy features there too. There are some FLV plugins too (Hana is good) that work great, otherwise JW Player is fine.

The reason your videos load slowly could actually be to do with your video files rather than the video player itself. The fact you have used two different players and they are both playing very slowly makes it even more likely it is the video file itself that is the problem.

If you are using mp4 formatted videos then make sure you have the meta data encoded at the end of the video. If you don't then your whole video file will need to load before it starts playing which will result in a very big delay.

Here is some more information about this issue (and how to fix it) should it apply to you:
