Well I don't know what the product is, but it depends on the niche. As long as it is a good niche, you can sell it.

There is nothing wrong to promote
    products with high gravity.

High gravity simply show that the
product is of demand and affiliates
are making money from the product.

    I understand your concerns on
    High competition..

For my case, I am more concerned whether
the product is of high quality and salespage
    can sell the product..

If both are great, I will move to sell the
    Product immediately.

I only use paid traffic for affiliate products.
So I am not so concerned on SEO..

There are tons of ways to promote
    Affiliate products..

    My personnel favorite are
    1. PPC
    2. Solo ads
    3. Media banners
    4. PPV ( you need more knowledge to run successfully)
    5. Of course, promote to my list (free and reliable)

    Hope these helps..

PM me if you need more help/information.

Here's the thing. Targeting a high-gravity CB product shows that there's a lot of attention on that product. There are probably many affiliates promoting it, and the product is also selling well.

Is this good? It matters on your resources.

If you can run a comprehensive program, have a large (or at least moderately sized) email list, a popular blog/review site and the money for good positioning, then you might make a killing (there's always risk).

But, if you are just starting out and you don't know how to run IM campaigns very well, then it might be better to promote a product with a lower gravity rating to gain some exposure.

I wouldn't necessarily let it put me off. It would depend on the circumstances.

I admit that (like many affiliates) I've always done considerably worse with high-gravity products than with low-gravity ones, and that obviously there are "overall reasons" for that, but there can always be exceptions, you know?

For me, a high gravity wouldn't necessarily matter if ...

      (i) I'm already well in the niche and making money from it, and just looking for "additional products";

      (ii) I had a ready-made market of opted-in subscribers for the product who are known buyers of other products in the niche, and I liked it so much that I wanted to promote it anyway;

(iii) I thought the sales page was so unusually good and striking that my traffic was going to have a pretty high conversion-rate (I'd still have to feel completely comfortable standing behind the product, though, for this to arise).

Needless to say, if the product were in any "IM/MMO-related" niches, then I wouldn't touch it at all.

The fact (and it really is a "fact") that there isn't a correlation between gravity figures and sales numbers cuts both ways, you know? It doesn't mean that a product with a high gravity is necessarily something you should never promote. Just that you should be a bit careful and have good reasons for selecting it. That's my perspective, anyway.

Sorry, but this really isn't right: there are actually some very high gravity products which aren't being promoted by any affiliates at all.

All the above said, I must admit that I've gradually changed my mind a little bit, over the last 4+ years, as I've gained more experience. At one time, I would very casually have said that gravity was something I more or less ignored in product-selection and that I wouldn't mind at all if a product had a very high gravity. I don't still think that, now. Long experience has taught me that I'm probably going to make far more money by promoting a product with a gravity of 3.0 than one with a gravity of 103.0. And that there are overall reasons for that.

Just as long as you're not planning to try to sell this ClickBank product without a list?!

What are the best ways to promote click bank products?

How to find and sell clickbank products?

Optin form hurts clickthrough to products or sales?

Ah, that's one of Norbert's products, I think?

Like many others here, I have a very high opinion of the vendor, anyway. For me, that would be hugely in its favor.

Good luck, if you try it!

I tend to not worry much about gravity. Instead, I analyze the sales page itself and try and put myself in the mindset of the potential buyer. Is it something that I would buy if I were in their situation?

I also look at the competition since I do a lot of PPC. If there's too much competition I back off. I'm not going to get into a bidding war with some of the big time PPC guys. I've uncovered a handful products that convert really, really well via PPC --> landing page on a blog --> sales page. But they're very niche oriented and almost all of them have pretty low gravity. (Under 10.)

And they don't get a ton of traffic, either. But I'll take 10 clicks a day when they're converting at a high percentage. It's just a matter of having multiple campaigns promoting different products. Ditching the ones that aren't working, etc.

Long story short, gravity is NOT the be-all-end-all!

I have reread you advice today , very interesting about the ppc . Would you mind to answer some questions about your landing pages . Do you design then your self or outsource ? How many pages this website are usually ? I am thinking of trying ppc but not sure in my WP skills . Would be nice to have some quick look at what is really working at the moment to try to build something decent .

What is the best landing page ? Sort of a narrow sales page with all the buttons and good comments of simple article with links ? I don't know

Please if you can help me with that  PM Me

Some products are very good, but they don't get special attention. You should look for products of good quality.
