Post-Optin Conversion Rates, in Health and Dating Niches.

Hey,

What's a typical rate of conversion-to-sale for CB-style offers, after someone has opted in?

Assume the Health and Dating Niches, and a price point around $50.

Five percent? Ten percent? Twenty-five percent?

well, i could probably list a hundred variables that will affect this in under five minutes. I could also keep doing that for an hour or so...lol.

The point being you are not going to find an answer here that will have any credibility given the minuscule information you have provided.

That being said, if you want a general idea for some sort of calculations you need to plan on being below 5%.

I have been in the niche for a decade and a half now. On a straight post optin offer for a +$37 product from most traffic sources plan on being below 2%.

Way back in the Cretaceous Age, Armond Morin (rather glibly, perhaps) said something to the effect that post-optin, one could expect a 25% CR. And actually, way back when, in the dawn of the squeeze page, I can imagine that being true (particularly in IM).

Armond and all the guys who are in the business of selling IM products have a clear interest in skewing the numbers to look good.

if you notice in my post i said "from most traffic sources"

what good ole Armond failed to mention when he threw out numbers like that was the traffic source. I can still to this day get those sort of numbers from time to time on a few campaigns that i market to specific buyers lists that i have curated myself over the years.

But thats not near the average and it certainly isn't at all likely to be your results.

      Good points, both.

Also, just so that I understand, you're saying...

      against average, not-ultra-targeted traffic...

NOT 2% CR for visitor--> buyer,

BUT, INSTEAD 2% CR for subscriber--> buyer.

      Is that about right?

again, these numbers are way way ahead of what you need to be doing. you are probably making calculations that will never be your reality.

i have seen visitor to subscriber rates range from 1% to over 70%. and subscriber to buyer rates from way <.1% to 20+% on some things.

there are just way too many things that will affect this sort of stuff to even be really pondering a vague question like this. its really mental energy wasted for me and you...lol.

Please dont think i am trying to be rude, but there is just no way at all to give you even a remotely meaningful answer to such a question that will be even close to your reality.

If you were to push me for an answer given the information i have to work with i would say expect a visitor to subscriber rate of under 15% and a subscriber to sale rate of under 2%.

Thats if you have decent experience with online marketing. but again that is so far from what your reality is likely to be its almost laughable for me to even throw numbers out. You may be twice that good or 10 times as bad...lol

Start doing it and see what happens...thats the best advice i can give you. Running the numbers will be theoretical and you wont ever be able to buy a cheeseburger with your theoretical earnings.
