Anyone uses Ezine Articles on their own blog?

I know using Articles from ezine saves time but will it hurt the monetization of a page? Has anyone been using this method without reducing an income thats already provided from the Articles with the writer's URL. that has to be included in the Article.

I guess it really depends on the articles being submitted on ezine. There are also ways to monetize via the article posted on ezine, which could also boost traffic to your site. I'm not sure about others, but I've posted a few articles to ezine myself to boost search engine rankings for my own site.

Why would you want to use articles from ezinearticles? They would count as duplicate content and you wouldn't really get any traffic.

For the same reason that all the publishers who syndicate articles from EZA re-publish them: they want to share the content with their own readers/visitors/subscribers.

That's why Ezine Articles exists. That's what an article directory is: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

I was wondering how long it would be before someone used the words "duplicate content" in this thread. (I must admit I certainly didn't expect it to be you, Joaquin! ).

That has nothing to do with duplicate content.

That's syndicated content. The differences between the two are briefly explained in this post and this little article.

What he said. Some of the biggest syndication sites are on the first page in Google i.e. Drudge, Google news, Yahoo news, etc etc.

The best option is to curate the articles or stories.

I've resorted to Ezine Articles just occasionally when I thought a fresh angles on a subject might be of benefit. Having said that, it's always been used as 'content', never on a 'pillar type' page.

This is totally WRONG information. Syndicated articles are NOT, and never have been duplicate content. Please get your facts right before posting and misleading people.

Asked a similar question in a thread and people replied that it would be counted as duplicate content in SEO. Does Google have something published regarding this? What is your source for this? Not trying to sound like a schmuck, but it just seems like there is misinformation floating around about this...thx

I've only ever used one -- but it was because the info was relevant and the article was well written. If I could find more in my niche that were that relevant, I'd use them. No problem. It didn't hurt me in the least to use it. I don't suspect that using them frequently would hurt if they were good info for my viewers.

I've used more than one in the past, and I expect to do so again. I've never been hurt by using them.

Then again, I don't go to EZA, drop a few keywords in the search bar, and grab whatever comes up.

Here's my process when I find an article I might use:

      > I check the writer's other posted articles. Are they similar in quality, length and subject matter? If they have a bunch of so-so or worse offerings and one really good one, I'll note the author's name and revisit.

Having one article that really sticks out over the others could mean one of two things to me. One, the writer could have gotten lucky and had a 'one hit wonder'. Or two, it could have been 'rewritten' from somewhere else.

      > I google the author's name to see if and where they've been published. Finding additional articles on decent sites is a good sign.

      > I check the link in the resource box. If I don't like what I see, that article is dead to me. I don't care how good it is.

      > I google the domain the landing page is on. I'm scanning for signs it might be a 'bad neighborhood'.

If the article passes these tests I use it. If I get a good reaction, that writer goes on my watch list so I can see what else they do. Some (very) few of them get invitations to submit articles directly.

My niche is far enough out of the ordinary realms that it's rare to come by pre-written material, but I know the niche like the back of my hand so know good material when I see it - and am grateful to get it without having to write it. I wish it happened more often.

People get far too jacked over this issue. If info is vital and relevant to my viewers, I'm gong to use it - with full credits and, when possible, an intro to the author, which boosts their esteem in the viewers eyes, and so, that of the post as well. If my viewers are happy, I'm happy. They are what matters in the long run no matter what google does or thinks.

Can anyone elaborate about it please? I am not aware of this.

Rebecca, a 'bad neighborhood' site is one that participates in things the search engines (Google especially) have decided are 'black hat' or designed to game search engines. One example would be a site that sells text links indiscriminately, for backlinking purposes. 'Link farms', often disguised as 'favorite links' or 'related links' pages with hundreds or thousands of unrelated links, are another one. Sites that advocate the usual (illegal activity, hate content, etc.) are also on the verboten list.

I wouldn't put any content from EZA on any site that I cared about. I'd be willing to bet that most of the people that are saying it ok don't make a regular practice of doing it on their own sites.

I've written articles that got published on EZA. Some got syndicated. Increasingly, people are very careful about the articles they use since many people put up keyword sniping junk for SEO purposes. That's not the purpose of real article directories. There are many fake ones put up for SEO purposes only or to rip business owners looking for SEO shortcuts. The real purpose of legit directories is to act as a repository of high quality authoritative articles niche publishers can use on their sites.

As for my own blogs, I have scoured EZA for articles with very focused information and used a few as 'article discussion' starters. What are 'article discussions'? I paste the article (complete with author links, of course) and, in another post, discuss that article. This is useful for trying to build authority to your own site through your own original articles. You are merely using EZA articles as background. You have to write your article discussions as linkbait though to get the best traction.

syndicated articles can be used in our website and we can still make money.. I think it depends on how we position our website, and I prefer to have unique contents to build authority...

If you want your blog posts to get top ranking at Google, make sure to write articles which be original and unique. Don't use the EZA articles, except you know about to generate traffic besides the Google.

I am not against syndicating an article. It is what most blogs do nowadays. But, if I am going to syndicate an article, ezine would probably be the least option.

My main concerns about article syndication is being duplicated from Google's point of view even though it is allowed as long as the original writer of the article is included. I'm thinking about syndication for the main reason that it would keep my blog FRESH. It is recommended to have a new page every 20 days to the minimum and I have many websites, trying to save time.

Fresh for returning visitors, or fresh for Google? If you're looking for content for SEO reasons, then syndicating it, typically, is hardly going to help you at all. (But that has nothing to do with the reasons why so many people re-publish content.)

There are no SEO disadvantages, but the SEO benefits will typically be pretty small, so if you're looking at it only/mostly in terms of "increasing your rankings", then it's probably not for you at all. People who syndicate content are publishing it for their readers/visitors, because it's content they want to share with them.
