A good free ad tracker?

INTERNET MARKETING

I just started putting up ads and would like a way to see how many views they get, and perhaps clicks.

Need to start 'free' for right now, but it would be great if I could potentially upgrade down the line to a paid version with more services?

Does such an item exist?

Can you provide more info into what kind of Ad you want to track - text link ad ? Banner Ad ? is it on your blog or other network ? Using Adwords?

  Currently they are text ads (such as on craigslist or backpage with a link).
  
  And yes, eventually I will be doing banner ads and such. It would be great if it could do those too, but not super necessary at this time.

There is no ALL in One Adtracking script that would do all the above.

If it is just text link ads , then you track number of views. What you can do is track the number of clicks and see where the traffic is coming.
You can use url shortener like bit.ly and can traffic/click details .

If you doing banner Ads, then the services you using should provide you with number of views/impressions and clicks

I would also recommend prosper202. Most of the CPA marketer use this as a start. it could track impressions, clicks and conversions. I think it should do the job for you.

Thanks guys. I'm about to submit my first solo ads and apart from researching solo ad vendors, I was also looking at how to track the ads. From the free ones listed, I've decided to go with CPVlab and then maybe take a look at AdTrackz.

I use ClixTrac - Free Banner Tracking, Link Tracking, Ad Tracking and Click Tracking they have a free level of service as well as upgrades for more features

I'm not sure if you would be interested, but I know a piece of software which lets you put ads on your site and it tracks clicks + impressions. You would have to replace your current ads and it takes time to install, but it's worth the money.

Google analytics can certainly track ad stats & all traffic/conversion stats..

You just need to set up "Goals" to set up conversion tests.. and then add your tracking code to the pages. There are plenty of Youtube tutorials that show you how to set it up.

I've heard about Prosper202 but haven't used it. Looks good though!

I'd avoid anything free with an upgrade option if you're not intending to upgrade. You'll be severely limited if you stick with the free option.

To track the amount of click through by url shortening technique and now google analytics also provide the campaign stats and traffic stats for ads.

The Ultimate Click Tracking Software For Marketers - Click.org is also great. But I haven;t known Amazon gives such service. Theirs seems interesting.
