Free methods for gaining traffic!

Hello there,

I have started a new blog and began a venture with a program run by Dean Holland, named The Quick Start Challenge, and this program has proved to bring results, if the work is implied, now I'm sure alot of you on this forum probably know how to perform these techniques.

The first is Signi trafficking

The second is Blog hopping

now those two methods have been working for me and increasing my traffic, check out my new blog where I share the journey.

Many thanks

Mohamed

I wondered who was behind the recent run of spammed "challenges."

    Hey... Dean!

Please warn the folks in your program against trying to use this forum as a promotional platform. Unless "Getting banned at the WF" was listed as one of the 'benefits' in your sales copy...

Maybe Dean should be banned too Paul.
He only seems to turn up to post WSO's for coaching people to abuse other peoples forums.

    Hi Paul

This post has just been brought to my attention and wanted to reply to give you the full picture.

I would hope you would know that I wouldn't be telling people to do anything wrongful in any way shape or form.

This is actually in reference to a 4 week coaching WSO I ran some time ago, maybe 8 months or so.

At no point do I tell people to post here purely to get traffic.

However what I do say is to establish yourself in the IM industry you must become active in the communities. I also explain that doing so will not only get your name out there and will get you recognised over time but by giving value and becoming active people will be more inclined to be interested in you and want to find out more about you.

If that means they have a blog and they link to it in their signiture then that means people may visit their sites, it was my understanding that's why we all have signitures.

I do not and never will encourage ANY form of spam or any kind of trash like that in any way, let alone on the Warrior Forum where I have been a member for many years and have given a lot of time to give value in myself.

I would actually see it as more spammy that someone like Leslie above posts that sort of uncalled for comment above, would you not say that that is detrimental to my business and character and is completely out of order?

    Thanks
    Dean

      Les,

Dean's answer should serve as a good explanation of why I don't ban people that casually.

      Dean,

You may want to be a bit more explicit in how you tell them to use forums. Specifically, please explain how NOT to use them.

This is something anyone with experience has to deal with when we train newer folks. If we don't, we run the risk of creating miniature plagues of well-meaning posters, who can't be easily distinguished from plain old spammers.

That's clearly not your intention, but it's the effect that's being created.

You may want to start with Craig. He seems to be very unclear on the concept.
If that means they have a blog and they link to it in their signiture then that means people may visit their sites, it was my understanding that's why we all have signitures.
Most of us, yes. But the purpose of the forum (outside the advertising sections) is discussion first. If someone posts in what seem to be obvious and repeated efforts to gain signature exposure, they disrupt the conversations.

You know this, but your students may need a bit more coaching in that area. If they don't pick up the concepts somewhere, they're going to end up getting banned. When you're dealing with well-intentioned but inexperienced people, that does no-one any good.
would you not say that that is detrimental to my business and character and is completely out of order?
Not when you have the opportunity to respond fully and publicly, no. I don't think it went that far.

I don't agree with his assessment, but that's not uncommon. Les and I have different approaches to many things.

Well I want to be the first to apologize to Paul and Dean, I did not mean to come across in that way, and it is most regrettable that My first thread was displayed like that by me, I am new to the whole IM community, and it was never in Dean's teachings what I did, that It just goes to show that I have learning to undergo. Dean teaches that we must get active within the communities, but that is by giving valuable content and over time by building a positive place and bond with the community traffic will come naturally. I just got a bit desperate and kind of took it out of context, however I shall never make that mistake again and I am really sorry.

        Kaden,

Not to worry. A well-intentioned mistake that did no-one any harm. If that's the biggest problem we have in a day, it's a good day.

I once heard an interesting definition of "expert" - Someone who's made a lot of mistakes, fast, but rarely made the same one twice.

Appreciate the right to reply Paul and thanks for your response.

It would appear this small mistake has caused good in the end. I've odten found in my own experience actually that the times I've learned the most is usually the times I messed up haha

Glad it's all cleared up -

    Thanks

There are many ways to drive traffic to a site which are free. One of these ways is to join giveaway events and give a way a free e-book report, or something like an audio or video.

Not only will you be able to drive traffic, but you can also build a list from giveaway events as well. Yet another way to drive traffic is to comment on forums like the Warrior forum and other forums that are related to what you're doing online.
