Has anyone had much success with pre-made Niche Websites?

I just purchased one of the pre-made Niche Websites here on the forum for around $50......I was just wondering if anyone has ever had much success with one of these purchases, and if so, what success have you had?

Would have probably been better to have asked first?!!

I have no experience with doing that myself, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work, but obviously depends on how well it is made, and what additional information you put onto the site, and how you're trying to monetize it.

they are ok, I mean you get a fully built website but the real works comes in backlinking it, getting traffic to it and monetizing it. Its easy to build a niche site its very hard work to make profit from it and you need to know what your doing.

No, I have never had any experience with these types of sites, but if everybody and their uncle got the same exact same web site, then how unique is that? Cookiecutter sites in my personal opinion do not work. They're useless. The only one making the money there is the one selling you those sites in the first place.

You'd be much better off building your own unique site rather than wasting the $50 on that.

What does the site consist of? Does it have any content?

Is there any value for the traffic to buy form you (content = value)

Have you got a list or a good pagerank to drive traffic to it?

I expect you need traffic and its true - its all about links to your website.

I just fond this nice little blog since being in here - nice and simple... check it out...

This is a great place for free advice so don't worry too much that you spent $50 on a site hopefully you can use some of the techniques on this website to help you get going.

The success or failure of a website depends upon the investment in time and/or money of the owner. It doesn't matter if it is a pre-made niche, plain blog or authority site. It will work if you work! And there is the occasional dumb luck.

The success is up to you!

I have bought quite a few but no success due to various reasons :

    1. Google Duplicate penalty - there are many other peoples setting up exactly same website
    2. Due to competition - you competing with the original seller who could have an established site as well as you competing with everyone else who bought the same product.

I think you need to have the salesletter rewritten and redo all the graphics. Then you have a more unique site that you could potentially flipped on flippa.

I have had a lot of success with these types of sites.

For the best results here is what I recommend

    - Adding a few more pages of content each and every month. You could schedule it in.

    - Make some video reviews and post to Youtube promoting your site

    - Do some basic SEO on the site
Some Web 2.0 pages and a few backlinks

    You can always outsource this

Once your site is ranked first page then you can easily get in sales per month without much more effort.

If you want even quicker return on investment you can flip the site on Flippa. These sites always sell well when marketed correctly

You can sell it from $100-$1000 depending on the niche

    Hope this helps

I would assume that a premade niche website forces you into a niche that someone else chose for you? Like a "premade dog training website" (as an example)?

If thats true, then thats a terrible business model imo. On both ends actually. First you have the seller, who is probably selling multiple sites in the same exact niche. Which would presume that those niches suck and are saturated... and the only way he's figure out how to profit is from selling premade sites to unsuspecting newbies.

Then you have the unsuspecting newbies aka target market. People who probably lack the patience to do proper niche research. So they buy a premade site, do some work, and likely have no idea what they're doing or whether the niches is even profitable.

Not to sound negative or anything, but you'd probably have a better shot selling premade niche sites rather than buying them from someone else, and promoting both a niche and site that are destined to fail. This doesn't sound like a matter of time and hard work, but a matter of skills, knowledge and knowhow.

ps. For your own benefit, if the niche is even remotely common, you may want to tell us what type of site you bought. At least to get some feedback on the niche.

The value in pre-made niche sites is the premium theme, the design, content already posted, setup work done. Once you buy it, the ball is in your court. They take the same amount of maintenance (adding new, unique content, promoting, etc.) that any other site or one you created yourself would take.

As for the niche not being viable just because it's a pre-made niche blog, bull donkey. That's like saying no one else can ever make any money in a popular niche, like say make money online for example, just because a lot of people are already trying.

As for newbies not knowing what to do with it or how to do keyword research, there's a lot of things newbies don't know how to do, and I would hope that they are spending some of their learning those things.

Be careful of what you're buying and from whom. I bought a website from the forum and never saw the website or my money again. A beautiful website won't do you much good without anyone seeing it. You need targeted traffic.
