Blank Sheet Of Paper Method Of Focusing

Ok. I don't know if you guys are like me, but alot of us IM'ers get bombarded so much with this method, and that method and all of the "other" methods, that often times it is difficult to focus on one method. Whether it be ours, or someone elses, It is difficult to not get distracted into the "Rabbit Hole" we call the internet...

Picture this you go in to your office in the AM, or afternoon, or at night (I'm a night owl) with the intention to get abc done towards your goal, and you somehow find yourself 5 hours later, no further along and somehow you ended up on Youtube. ... Cmon, I know your out there... admit it. (I am).

Well, I started doing a little experiment. I don't remember where I picked up this little gem, I recall hearing about it at some seminar...

I pull out a blank peice of paper, and in the middle of it, I put my END goal.

That could be

a) Create 1500 unique blogs around a niche, and publish it
b) Create and launch a software product, or
c) Launch a Digital Product of any sort, or
d) Help 1000 people come closer to their goal

Whatever it might be I put it in the middle of the paper and draw a circle around it.

Then I start to put in random places on the paper all the "actions" that I need to take to get to that end goal.

Once that is done, I simply keep that paper right by my monitor and whenever I feel like I'm getting side-tracked, I look at it, and it helps me get right back on track.

As long as I focus on those action tasks, and keep that END Goal in mind, It helps.
