Seeking your recommendation: Who is THE Product Creation Expert on the WF?

Hi Warriors,

In your opinion, who are THE info product creation experts on the WF? I was doing my research and I came across people recommending Mike McMillan and Jeff Smith.

Is there anyone else you'd recommend?

Thanks!

Marc

Yes, those two names are certainly very well-recognized. And Kevin Riley, too?

I really didn't consider the fact that there could be different experts per market or niche. I'm really open minded when it comes to that. Maybe you could fill me in.

As for type of product, I would stick to paper and ink information, whether offline or digital. Could be packaged as audio or video as well.

Preferably someone who is crushing it with their own product creation business, and also sells their own how to do it product. Anytime it's outside of IM is good for credibility.

    Thanks!

    Marc

PS. Thanks for the suggestions so far!

      Marc,

There are all kinds of product creators crushing it off the WF and outside of IM. But, since you were specific, here is one Warrior deserving of your attention; Marcia Yudkin
      www.yudkin.com

Marcia has books on library shelves, paper and ink of all kinds and a virtual presence to boot.

A non warrior for those who want something different than IM stuff, is Bill Myers
      Bill Myers Online

These are only 2 of scores of product creators who are crushing it. In fact there are probably a dozen or more who hang out at the Bill Myers forum, his site is targeted to product developers.

      Hope this helps.

This space is tiny compared to the outside world....digital and info products outside of the IM niche dwarfs our little space!

It depends what you classify as a product creation 'expert'. There are a bunch of marketers who churn out the products one after another and the products sell for a few days and they move on. They also tend to offer very little in the form of ongoing support or updates.

Then there are other product creators who release fewer products but put more time and effort into the creation of those products and they stand by those products for a much longer period of time.

It depends what type of business model you are trying to replicate. The latter is definitely preferred for long term success.

Definitely recommend Kenster for products and coaching. Also Martin Crumlish (icun) for his WSO and FB products.

Yes, Icun is a great guy who has created top notch products in the IM NICHE.

I once approached him for a review and he still gladly emailed me telling me he couldn't do it! He has a great set of products I would buy any day.

Of course, he may not be in the niches outside of IM, but he sure does know his stuff about the IM world.

Yep, Jason is probably one of the best in my opinion. Again, he doesn't just churn them out for the sake of churning them out. His products are always well thought out and solve a problem.. and the products are supported for a long time as opposed to just taking them off the market when the next shiny object is released.

Too many products I see nowadays try to solve problems people never really had.

Desperate Buyers Only by Alexis Dawes. So good that Allen used to promote it on the front page of the WF.

  • There are people on the WF and elsewhere online who purposely and strategically position and market themselves as "product creation experts" by creating IM related ebooks, audios and videos on "how to create products". In many cases however much of this product creation is outsourced and created by a white label product creator, which then begs the question, are these experts really the expert?. And then there are companies that actually create and market awesome products in their niche. If you are looking to learn how to create actual quality products besides simple eBooks, audios and videos, you will most likely find it outside of the IM niche.

Get Jason's 48 hour report, or try to get into his product e-class. No offense to the others, whom I like, but Jason's stuff rocks.

    Be well,
