Not sure how to take my niche further.

Hello fellow warriors.

First of all, i am Robert and i am new in the world of internet marketing. I strive for a passive income while i study. I intend to study for 6-10 years more simply because i am eager to learn.
I do not speak english natively but i will try to keep this thread as clean as possibly can.

I have recently taken upp affiliate marketing in order to achieve a more passive income. A few months ago i knew close to nothing about affiliate marketing so i am still in the learning phase.

I did some keyword research and researched a very popular niche simply out of curiosity. I stumbled upon a keyword with >25,000 exact searches per month globally with low competition. The keyword itself is a product name.
The product is distributed by Amazon and can therefore be monetized through my affiliate membership there.

I have registrered a domain for this project; ProductnameInfo.com.

Should i be building the website around this domain or purchase something that relates to the general niche more? If so i'd write several different product reviews and update more regularly, but struggle with ranking. Since i am a beginner when it comes to ranking websites and building affiliate sites this would be problematic.

If i were to build the website at productnameinfo.com i wouldn't be able to provide new and fresh content regularly since i'd basically be posting a product review.

The sole reason i am having these doubts are because i read an article about how google loves websites that posts content frequently.

Could any warriors with experience from affiliate marketing give me their advices?

There's plenty of static websites (without updates) that rank perfectly fine. Updating frequently gives websites temporary boosts but at the end of the day, a strong site with strong relevant backlinks will rank fine regardless of how often it is updated.

If you're trying to strictly rank one product site (for ultimately one product) you will need a few things:

      -800-1000 word article with testimonials
-a video (doesn't have to be yours)
      -lots of pictures

it can be difficult to rank for one product when there are sooooo many spam sites made for every product (thank you wordpress)

for a 25K exact match, single product- this will be very challenging..

its easier to rank for general terms rather than products based on my experience... like ranking for "George foreman grill comparison" is EASIER than "George foreman GrillMaster XC3000 Black"

also- the 'google loves updating webpages' is irrelevant, static pages rank fine, the internet is full of them

      best of luck

I would not waste a second of effort branding and optimizing "ProductNameinfo.com". Why? Because "ProductName" is most likely a registered trademark and as soon as you start getting traffic, you will also get the dreaded C & D letter.

Oh i did not even think about this problem, thank you for enlightening me. The general niche itself is very competitive, one of the hardest ones to rank in.
I have already created my first blog in a very competitive niche, health and fitness, because that is what i am passionate about. I told myself i would not make my second niche site a competitive one.
Not sure how to act here..

Perhaps since i already got hosting + the domain i could put the website up and try to juice it for a few weeks and simply close it when i get asked to?
