Does anyone know if it is possible to just write and have short reports submitted to kindle?

I am okay with 500+ words but when it comes to a full book thats another thing.

Any Warriors have experience of doing short reports with Kindle and what kind of success have you achieved

I would say, if your 500 words contain something worth buyers money , then yes.

But short poem or something like that would be kinda weird.

Whats wrong with writing 10 reports on closely related topics and making them into the chapters of an ebook.

For example if you write 1 report on the benefits of blogging, another on choosing on choosing a bloggn platform, another on blog promotion, another on blog monetization, another on how to moderate blog comments, etc., you need only put them in order, add a small amon of glue like an intro and a table of contents, and hey presto a book about how to blog.

I suggest that you write your report. Pick the keywords that you mentioned in the report and run them through Google Keyword Tool and find other keywords to write similar reports on.
When you have done this you will have several 500 word reports on similar topics that you can bind together as a kindle book

    Hello livo,

I agree with the others. Don't look at the "book" as trying to tackle it all at once. Instead, break it down by chapter, tackle that on several different aspects of a specific topic, based upon the keyword(s) you decide upon via your research.

Before you know it, you'll have written a book on a topic, which will make it more valuable (i.e. can charge more for you) and even more likely to be accepted by Amazon.

Hope this helps - good luck!

    Take care,

Hey livo, I'm like you; I like to write in short chunks. And I actually wrote my first kindle book (which is doing well) using a "chunking" approach that looks like this:

    1. Open Evernote
    2. Write out my thoughts on a certain aspect of seduction (my niche) in no particular order
    3. Rinse and repeat
    4. Once I have enough content that could coherently go together into a book I...
    5. Copy and paste everything into an Open Office document
    6. Organize, edit, improve flow and connectedness, add content
    7. Publish to kindle
My feeling is that if you know your topic intimately, your thoughts can often come out 'randomly' during writing. But meanwhile, your unconscious mind has some sort of meta-structure for all the content that you're not even necessarily aware of.

Then at some point after writing a bunch of seemingly disjointed 'stuff', you'll suddenly feel that the content can be organized and strung together in a (mostly) logical order and with a flow that feels smooth to a potential reader.

I find this non-deliberate approach can keep you from feeling overwhelmed at the thought of having to write a Book with a capital "B", and adds a certain spontaneity / vivacity to your words.

This part is so true. Just get down to the business or writing and let it happen. I use a similar method for fiction - I take it one chapter at a time (after mapping out my plot) so I don't get overwhelmed at the thought of having to write a whole book.

I also find that if you immerse yourself in your project, you will get great ideas at odd times like when you are in the shower, doing dishes or out for a walk.

And always be thinking about the next related book you can write - thats where the money really is, in putting out several books on the same topic so you can get repeat sales from customers who liked what you wrote.
