I still consider myself very much a newbie but am now earning a consistent £1,000 ($1,400) a month from the first site I set up and have just started a new site.

I would like to know if anyone on here has experience of 2 part headline as opposed to a single headline.

Below is the initial 2 part headline for my new site (yes, it will need lots of testing and refining) which I have in the same font/size/colour(red) where I show the pain in the first headline and the solution in the second headline.

Sick Of Spending Hours Trying To Learn A Musical Instrument ?

Buy These DVD And End Your Frustration With A Fun & Quick Way To Learn.

Would you stick to pain in headline and solution in body or is this a known or viable option ?

I will be testing options but thought I would ask on here as there are prob warriors who already have insight into this.

Thanks for any responses.

I would change up your wording some.

"Quit wasting hours after hours trying to learn a musical instrument! Learn how you can start playing your favorite instrument in X amount of hours"

Or something along those lines. Don't take what I said and use that word for word because I just made it up in like 2 seconds, but do something like that.

I think using the 2 part headline is a good idea. But how about making the second line shorter:

Sick Of Spending Hours Trying To Learn A Musical Instrument ?

End Frustration Quick with my DVD

First 2 Words: A Signal for the Scanning Eye (Jakob Nielsen's Alertbox)

    Thanks for all your resonses.

I do realise the headlines I wrote here do need lots of work (they are just something I quickly jotted down)

The point I wanted to know was more about whether it is any good giving :-
    1. pain in an initial headline
    2. solution in a second headline
to give the readers the basics of what the rest of the page is about

or would you just stick to a single headline for the pain and give the solution to pain in the body of the text.

Real2Deal - will check out the maroon colour

ic7 - thanks for that - looks like I tried to get too much into the second headline
