It's ages since I inserted a youtube vid into a post and I cant for the life of me remember how to do it.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Just click on Share under the video and then Click on Embed if it has an embed code. Copy that embed code into the post and it's done.

Just paste the link right in your post. The link at the top of the page, not the share link. I'm not sure this works for other forums, but it does here.

If you're "previewing" post, it won't show the video...just the link.

Once you post the post, the video will display properly.

Thats where I'm testing it Ginger, its not the actual link

If you are trying to copy video code from a page other than YouTube, etc., you'll need to know the source code it came from or a direct link to only the video.

Ah, check your post. After you post it once, WF will automatically put a URL code around your video. So it would look like:

          Code:
          [#URL="http://youtube.com/video=fjdsl"]http://youtube.com/video=fjdsl[/#URL]
Ignore the #...it's the only way I could get it to display without executing the BBcode.

Remove the URL code, and ONLY post the link.

This is a post I made last month on the OT forum.

    How to embed a video:

    1. Copy the video link.
    2. In the warrior message field write a title for the video: St. Patrick's Day Potato
    3. Highlight that title and then, for effect, center the title and then click the Bold icon. That will place the video in the center of the post.
    4. Then click on the link icon and paste the link into that field. That's it.

Oh, yeah. Sometimes you'll have a URL that starts like this https://

If there's an s there, take it out or it won't embed.

I've added a demo video featuring my girlfriend and her potato.

It should look like this. I can't actually post the link as it will turn into the video

[B goes here] [Center goes here] [url="http://www. (Fill in the rest ending with " )Title Goes Here[/url][/CENTER goes here][/B goes here]

        EDIT: That should do it.

That is so weird, I ended up having to get my partner to login as me to do the vid on the test forum yet on this thread it's absolutely no problem. He thinks it's probably a bug in the system!!!

Thanks again everyone and enjoy, I love this guy BTW...
