Help!! Can I Sell A Domain Name Without An Auction Platform?!

I'm trying to sell my domain name! But i never thought that i would have to pay to be a member of a domain name auction platform! Why cant i just post an ad on Craigslist, find a buyer, have them send me the money, then transfer my domain name to them? Can i do that? My domain name is registered through 1And1. If i do sell my domain to someone i found on Craigslist, how would i give it to them??

You can sell it on your own if you find your own buyer. You would have to agree on payment terms (would be best to have both parties sign a contract). If it is a large sum of money, use escrow. Once you get the money, you would do a domain name transfer and send it to the buyer.

Would i have to continue to pay for the domain name yearly? Do i have to pay to become a member of Escrow?

No, once you transfer the domain it leaves your account and goes to the buyer. Also, escrow is free to sign up and use, they just take a fee on the transaction amount https://www.escrow.com/support/fee-calculator.aspx

Thank you so much! One more questions, how would i determine the price of may domain? Where can i find a reliable appraisal? The domain has only been registered for about 2 weeks.

Just research about your domain. The price depends on monthy traffic, unique clicks, search engine searches, name of the domain etc etc.
