Where to go for paid traffic?

For what?

You can do those things easily with PPC and PPV. With PPC you might choose the demographics in the filter for your ad, in PPV you'd have to look up the demographics and find sites that match, then pop under those.

If you haven't done it before, 7search, and plenty of fish (POF) are a good place to start.

It would be great to spend the paid traffic on google ppc, fb ads, and some site banners cpm, cpc and cpa.
Those ads is under your control where you can select where and who you want to reach base on country, cities, age, behavior , interest, keywords, specific site. Because you know where your target market .

There are a lot of great choices out there, Facebook Ads, POF ads, PPV, and PPC for starters.

But what are you trying to market?

I'm in the health niche, mostly, and know about PPC, FB and so on (although I haven't been able to make them work yet). When I looked around using search terms like "email lists for sale" and so on, I get sites like infousa.com that allow you to define things by geographic region, age, etc. I know that Google and other search-engine-based systems do as well, but the advantage with something like infousa is that after all your narrowing down it tells you exactly how many people are going to be on the list that you're marketing to. So if you want to test a sales funnel with 5,000 people or something, you can do that.

I don't know... I'm still very much in the process of thinking this through, and it may be that a service like infousa isn't any better than some other PPC service. I was just wondering if everyone uses G, Yahoo ads and so on, or if there are some preferred "private" companies that people have had better luck with.

I have the uncomfortable feeling that I don't know enough about paid ads to really even know what I should be asking here, lol.

Facebook is a good choice. Make sure you choose the CPC option though and send them to a FREE offer...

The rule is never do PPC or any paid advertising without a way to capture your leads! It's like throwing money down the drain. 90% of visitors will never visit your site again. So if you are spending money on getting them to your site you should find a way to stay in touch with them.

I would personally stay away from low quality PPC traffic sources. All you need is Google, Facebook and maybe Bing & POF. But the same rule applies to all paid traffic.

Google Adwords definitely won't allow you to send traffic to an otion page.

They will quickly pull the plug on your campaign, and even your account, if you try it.

It depends on the niche. Tier2 search engines like 7search have improved a lot and i figured out a way to get 50% extra credit with a brand new account and it has been working fine with me
