What options/ scripts are there to add a aweber form (name + email) on a wordpress blog?

so website visitors to the blog can subscribe to the email?

Which basically displays an opt in form on the blog ??

You can paste the optin form code - that's generated by Aweber - into a Widget text box/post/page/etc.

Sometimes that stuff is either:
A) Baked into a theme. For example, optimizepress has a field you copy and paste the Aweber code into and then BAM - the form is on your wordpress page
or
B) There are some Aweber or mini-optimizepress plugins out there that do the same thing as stated in "A".

  You've gotten two good answers here - FYI that AWeber also offers a blog integration that will auto-email your list for new posts, if you elect to configure and use it.

1. Login to your Wordpress dashboard.

2. Click on Appearance > Widgets

3. Click on and drag the 'Text' widget into your sidebar or whichever section of your template you would like to display the form.

4. Paste your Aweber form code into the text widget box and click on Save

Alternatively, if you want to place the form inside a post or page, then instead just go to the post or page as though you were editing it and paste the code into the text/html box wherever you would like the form to display.

I am sure you could also find a plugin to install that will make the optin form appear in the middle of the page every now and then. I know I have seen that on a lot of different websites.
