So, CISPA is back into voting tomorrow, for those who are not familiar with CISPA : CISPA

Alexis Ohanion, the co founder of Reddit, is calling on Facebook, Twitter, and Google CEOs to take an action :

I say, we don't need Google, Twitter, or Facebook to stand for us (but they certainly welcome to join), I am pretty sure we can stand for ourselves. Let us all say No to congress. To Sign Petition, and find out more about CISPA :

CISPA is back.

Cispa debate this time is mostly concern on
    - Companies should be able to share your private online information with the government while enjoying total legal immunity.
    - Bill shows that the bill’s proponents don’t care about your privacy at all.

I don't understand the details of CISPA. This is related to the internet. Most people protest this bill.

Regardless it, I hope the internet is running safely. People have freedom with responsibility on the internet. And also making money online. The law works against all online crimes.

CISPA did not disappear - and it won't in some form or another. During the time when people online have been protesting...there has been a quiet, expensive project - a huge data center in Utah.

It's not been in the news like CISPA - but it's proof the collection of online information is moving forward...like it or not.

An expectation of privacy online is not going to work for anyone in the future. That includes cell phones, twitter, facebook, websites and your emails. To excuse massive data collection, officials will point to hackers, subversive activities, porn, scams, etc - and the majority of the public will go along with the plan.

This data center will be operational this year - a petition isn't going to stop it and will be far more invasive than CISPA ever was.

CISPA looks like just another classic Congressional circle jerk. It passed last year in the House and died in the Senate. Obama promised a veto. The same thing is happening this time.

The only effect is that those who voted for it get to tell their districts that they're "tough on cyber crime" come the next election.

I'd be far more worried about what's happening off-book in the name of 'national security'...
