What kind of bonuses would YOU like in a weight loss product?

Im almost done my weight loss product for CB. Bonuses are a huge part to getting more sales and some people even buy the product just for the bonuses. Any ideas on what I can give for bonuses? So far for the paid program I have the workout program and diet....I would like at least 5 bonuses. I have come up with:
-sample diets
-weight loss supplements
-workout log
-diet log
-grocery list

Any other ideas or recommendations?

How about a "1 a day" action plan.

With health and fitness programs I have noticed that a lot of people will buy the product but never use it. Making a commitment to 30 days or 60 days of working out isn't easy for the people who need those sorts of programs.

As a bonus you can add an action plan of one thing they can do every single day to start making a change. It should be one very very simple thing that takes seconds or at most minutes to accomplish but will make them feel better about themselves.

Doing one tiny thing every single day is much easier to get into and it could lead to them getting the motivation to actually do the 30 or 60 day workout and diet plan.

    - daily work out schedule
    - some diet foods recipes
    - some application or some calculation to help you calculate the cholesterol you eat and deduct
    - tools to help you calculate BMI
    - some motivation stories
    - deduction voucher or next return purchase

I agree to the suggestions above. How about an eBook about how to weight loss? Diet tips, recipes, or sample of your products?

Honestly Anne0521, I think 'ebooks' as bonuses are really played out in the fitness market (I've bought so many fitness ebooks I've lost track)...

I think some type of 'Coaching' or 'Private 30 Minute Skype Session' or something personal of that sort is the most enticing bonus.

Other than that, simple software always works well, where the user can input basic information about themselves and it outputs some nutrition/workout information for them. Doesn't need to be complicated at all, just adds some extra value.

      All the best!

I know the coahing or private 30 min session would be really good but what happens if I sell alot of them? Or even if I dont if its a $47 product and I give away 75% comission then I only making like $12 or whatever for 30 min of time...totally not worth it...

If you've got a good and effective coaching system, then why not use it as an upsell?
The bonuses should depend on the product and its salient qualities. I don't espouse offering bonuses without a direct relation to the product's utility and enjoyment by the buyer.

I agree with the software suggestion above - incorporate most of the suggestions into software - this will add the greatest perceived value to your offer as it enhances the buyer's interaction and perceived enjoyment of the product. Tying it in with some aspect of the program's effectiveness, will really make the buyer feel that their success with your program will be aided by the software and they'll feel that their ability to achieve their goals will be that much improved.

I think it might be cool to give them like a motivational ebook as a bonus to keep them motivated during their diet. I aslo think another good ebook could be just a few simple work outs or you could even right another simple ebook on workouts to lose wright and get in shape and give them a sample workout from the ebook with a link to buy the full ebook at the bottom or something.

    Test carefully.

Will the pleasure of proving me wrong encourage you to test carefully? I'll predict that having two bonuses will convert better than having five bonuses. (Because that's been the result of all the similar split-testing I've seen).

Having 5+ bonuses smacks of desperation. :p

It's like saying to your potential customers "I know I'm not going to get you to buy this on its own merits, so I need to throw in with it a whole bundle of assorted other stuff to dress it up a bit, in the hope that that will somehow make you bite".

A product with one or two very relevant bonuses will sell better, other things being equal. Ask any "proper copywriter" who's seen their clients split-testing this.

There are also nutrition, diet and weight-loss products on ClickBank whose vendors can't attract any serious, pro-affiliates to them simply because of the 5+ bonuses with which they're messing up their (sometimes otherwise just-about-acceptable) sales pages.

Thanks alot! I never thought of this. Maybe I will go with just a couple of bonuses then. So the question is which ones will be the best?

Yes, this isn't so easy to judge (and I can offer no insight, because it isn't my niche at all), but I do think the principle's right. Maybe try, if you can, to identify the potential bonuses which most potential customers will perceive as "most directly relevant" to the offer? Though this might not be the most helpful of suggestions.

    A coaching session
    Access to a webinar replay

And I hate any workout plan that does not come with not only meal plans and recipes, but how much to eat of what per day. How many calories should I be eating per day and per meal, and what should my daily carb/fat/protein breakout be.

Insanity comes with this. As does Jilian Michaels Body Revolution. And P90X. Crucial, I think, to any worthwhile weight loss/weight gain/muscle building/workout product.

I also think a guide to supplements would be beneficial.

Yes I do have the diet broken down so that people can choose freely out of certain foods what to eat. Thanks!

You could also keep the bonuses you have, but combine some into larger generalized bonuses:

Such as the sample diets + grocery lists, could be a full featured dietary plan.

    Just a thought!

Here's what i would also look for as bonuses:

    - How to get six pack abs
    - Exercise machines you should buy
    - Whether or not you should join a gym
    - How to stay motivated when weight loss is slow

The best bonus for any product where the customer is dealing with a challenge is a book on building the right mindset.

Tens of thousands of people buy "how to" books everyday but end up abandoning it after the first few pages. They feel that they are not cut out for it or simply lack the inclination to read the entire book AND take action.

If you can give them a recipe to build the proper mindset they will not only go through your product and take action but will be grateful to you and will come back for more.

      WRONG!

This is exactly why the OP should not be asking this question to his colleagues here on the WF.

Mindset stuff does NOT sell. Though you're right Max in that mindset is exactly what the buyer NEEDS, but it's not what he THINKS he needs. Work in mindset-related stuff into the product itself AFTER they have bought, but don't even MENTION mindset in your marketing, and don't bother wasting your time creating a mindset bonus.

I have one idea which you can add up on your bonuses. It seems like your bonuses was been purely physical. Why not include spiritual exercises? It would be good and you will attract many people too.
