Email Swipe Learning Resources

Hello all,

I am new to email marketing and have just started out purchsing solo ads on safe-swap (100 at a time to experiment).

I am wondering if anyone can reccomend a good book or resource on how to write effective swipes.

    A good way to pick up some knowledge for free...

    Check out the daily emails you receive from lists you are subscribed to!!! If not, Get on some... don't buy anything.. Just check out what these people are putting out there!

    Especially people with solo lists!

    I think Craig has given you a good suggestion. And if you want to be even more proactive you should head over to the copywriters board. In the sticky threads there's a bunch of suggestions on the best copywriting books out there.

    Pick up a couple. For email copy, material on creating grabber headlines (subject lines) would be a wise investment. I saw a headline I just had to open last week: How To Be Less Stupid.

    The email itself was a disappointment but that headline got me to open it. Now, had the body of the message been as clever as the header I might have actually taken some sort of action. Good luck.

    there.

    I always "steal" my swipes from the grocery store. When you're checking out at the grocery store next time, take a look at the magazine racks and pay close attention to the headlines/ads. You'll be amazed of how much free swipe you can come up with. Just use the headline as a template and just change it around to benefit your ad...
