I read postings on warrior and some moderators are fanatic deleting posts and remove signature for simple reasons. Now only money matter here. If you pay, you are a good guy. So I thought to myself wo that ain't a community I want to be part of.
Probably the moderators will delete my post, but this is my opinion.
Good bye and good luck.

If you had just gone away no one would have noticed...

Coming to a forum and not reading the rules and posting inappropriately will bring trouble in any community, not just WF.

I don't think this has anything to do with it, at all. I think the rules (regarding signature files, post deletions, and anything else) are applied equally to all members, regardless of whether or not they're "registered members"/"War Room members". War Room members are allowed one line more in their sig-file - that's the only difference that occurs to me.

I've certainly often enough seen the moderators openly explaining to people who have "paid" that having done so gives them absolutely no exemptions at all from the forum's rules.

I don't think this is quite true, I have been here for a while. And I'm from Sweden, my English is so bad that I thought this was a cooking forum. I asked about how to make brownies and they keep telling me to build more links.

You spam the forum with scraped (stolen) content and links to your crappy website. After weeks of this abuse, you lose your signature privileges. Then you have the gall to whine about it.

You're a parasite. You contribute nothing of value. You just take, take, take.

      Good riddance.

I don't think the rules are the same for all members. I been banned for a week and they put as a reason: scam.
However I never promoted any links, websites or any thing else in my posts.
All what I was doing is sharing my experience and stuff that work for me and others. I even removed my link from my signature few days before ban. So I totally did not understand the reason of the ban.
How not offering any thing apart form help and share experience could possibly be scam?

Ooooh, did he, really? In that case, I'm surprised that he's still here to announce that he's leaving!

Certainly the moderators do remove people's sig-file privileges if they think people have been posting only for the sig-file exposure ... (then again, there are members who imagine that sig-files are a "right", rather than a privilege).

Don't feel badly. At last count 9% of the members here think this is a cooking forum and most of them speak English.

  • I 've had threads deleted before, sometimes for reasons I'm not too clear on, but ultimately it's not that they think you're a bad guy. They just want this forum to have a good rep. They don't want people to saturate the forum with BS ads and trying to make money ploys. It's for learning, at least for me, not for spamming the forum with affiliate links. Good luck to you too

One thing not mentioned (and not really relevant to this particular whiner, it seems) is that the deletion of a thread may have nothing to do with the original post.

Sometimes the thread is hijacked, sometimes it breaks down into useless but very nasty flame wars, sometimes it just gets redundant. For example, some folks will see a popular thread, and immediately post one just like it. They're looking for sig exposure, usually.

And sometimes the topic of the thread has been beaten into the ground (i.e. - 'what's the best __________')
