I have been learning and reading up on IM for the pass 1 year. I have come up with a plan, please give your comments on it.

1. Next month I will buy a website from the forums from a good designer that I have been observing long time. I want a good template to learn from.

2. Also engage a SEO to boost the links. I am still not sure how to do it well.

3. By next year I can a few thousands to do more website.

My headache now is the niche and keyword, am working on it now. Please your
comments on anything I need to do better.

    Welcome to the Forum!

That's an okay plan if you are going to be sticking to it and taking consistent action.

I have one suggestion though, why are you thinking of buying a ready made site? If you are worried about the complexity of building a site, trust me it's not that hard.

Even the most basic sites can earn good money, and with WordPress being so user friendly, anyone can build an amazing site for free.

    Just my 2 cents,

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

Welcome to WarriorForum, and good luck.

    Your plan sounds good.

    3. By next year I can a few thousands to do more website.
Instead of making a ton of sites, I would just focus on a few really big money makers. Usually works out better for people.

My headache now is the niche and keyword, am working on it now.
Just hit up Google's Keyword Tool with a pan and a pad, and let the creative juices flow!

Great you have spend time reading for a year but what is important is putting it into practice.

There will not be a foolproof plan to succeed in IM. There are plenty of guides around showing you what you can do. Have a nice website that's is SEO ready is part of it but where is the money part of it? Are you going to sell affiliate products online?

If you are going to build a authority website, remember to build your list and drive traffic to your page.

I am going to sell a physical product that is on Amazon, and planning to add Adsense too to the site. How Do I build a list?

Welcome to the forum! You'll find a ton of value on here which you probably already have because you know the first step is picking your niche.

Make sure to do the proper research before you choose a niche. Also, once you decide on a niche try to drill down into a sub-niche because that's where the money is, and you will have a much easier time creating authority for yourself.

Great advice about the sub-niche part You are right, if you manage to rank the site well within a long tailed keyword / sub-niche you'll convert more.

Are you planning on selling "internet marketing" products. If so, then maybe you should reconsider - unless you have a long list of backend products ready to promote to your customers. If "internet marketing" is the area you want to sell in... consider offering at least 3 more products on the backend, offering a paid offline newsletter (to keep people on top of the marketplace), and consider holding $1,000 per person seminars.

If you don't already have a niche/keyword then you don't really have a plan sorry. Why are you even considering buying a site/design when you don't know what you are going to put on it?

Good plan. Just one piece of advice.
Pick a method (there are literally hundreds of ways to make only online) so pick one and stick with it until you make some money. Don't give up!

This is good advice, don't just try stuff, drop it a day later. True success takes time. There is a learning curve.

Wow, thanks for all the positive support guys. Am deeply moved. I now do have a targeted keyword and am looking into it. I need to work out the which are the keywords I want to target. Its a product I know and am interested in. The reason why I want to buy a well designed web is so that I have a template to learn from. Guys I want to ask you all, whether the concept in my mind is right.

I should play the role of a project manager, understand the mechanic of each component of IM and then try to source and put them together like a Lego set. the components are:

        a. Keyword research
        b. market competition
        c. which method to monetize
        d. design the website
        e. SEO the website
        f. manage the website

Please guide me on thing wrong with my concept.

  • Well, you'll need to flesh out your plan a bit more. I think don't spend too much money on a website. They're pretty easy to make yourself, you need hosting plan, domain name and then you build the site. Unless you're looking to buy from Flippa or whatever an already established site, which can be risky (and expensive) too. But if you build your own site, it's not too expensive and with WordPress you don't need to learn HTML or PHP, or any of that. I guess buy a site if you want, and you know best what you want and what will work best for you, but don't exhaust your budget on the site, before you get into the other stuff. Even with SEO it's hard and takes time to rank in Google. I would definitely check out Niche Pursuits and Ad Sense Flippers for more advice! They're awesome resources, full of legit, free info!!! Seriously they're amazing.

It's good you're ready to take action. I'm still having a lot of false starts but I finally decided to dive in, make a website (which failed) but I learned from it. And I'm still trying to make money online. Just don't give up.

Welcome to WF and Good luck!

I found a service on Fiverr, but the competition is only 75,000 rivals. Am thinking of making a great looking website, but question is 75,000 very hard to hit the top and how long will it take? Monthly searches is about 8000. Whole plan is make a great looking Pro looking web, and get the fiverr to do the jobs for me. Please advise.

If I had to start all over again here's what I'd do to kick start things:

#1 - Some basic research to decide on a niche
#2 - Set up a blog to help gain an online presence. Post to it once a week and then go blog hopping to start building relations with others in my niche.
#3 - Create a 'simple' information product that will add value and then give it away via a squeeze page. If I had no knowledge in that area I'd use PLR content, making sure it's of exceptional quality.
#4 - drive some free traffic and start building my list.

If you're consistent with your traffic methods and you genuinely want to help others, it won't be long before your subscribers get to know, like and trust you.

THEN you can start thinking about promoting paid product to them. (your own or affiliate offers)

I'm going to go against what others are saying and tell you that is is a TERRIBLE plan. Actually, this is NOT a plan...this is really nothing at all. You really have to flesh this out if you want it to go anywhere. Frankly, it doesn't seem like you've put a lot of thought into this. Answer these questions:

    What is your business model?
    What is your starting capital?
    What is your operating budget?
    What is your target market?
What is your 90 day action plan?
What is your 6 month action plan?
What is your 12 month action plan?
How are you going to monetize your site?
How are you going to market your site?
What kind of marketing strategy will you utilize?
If applicable, what kind of content will you generate?
If applicable, what keywords will you try to rank pages for?
How will you build your lists?
    What is your exit strategy?

You need to answer these questions before you actually write up a plan. Use this as a little checklist while you do it.

      What is your exit strategy?

You need to answer these questions before you actually write up a plan. Use this as a little checklist while you do it.
Example of a rough plan using this checklist:

XYZ advertising is an affiliate marketing start up that currently has $1000 of start up capital. The company will be promoting several products and programs within the renewable energy market by utilizing email marketing promotions.

We estimate that the company will only cost us an estimated $50/month in operating expenses, so it's really a shoe-string budget.
Our target market seems to be men between the ages of 40-60, that are married, and have disposable income.

We plan to generate user content in the form of articles and videos, as well as paid advertising in the form of PPC. We will focus on building up a list of prospective buyers using these content generation techniques, and are currently working on an email newsletter that will be used for promotional purposes.

The first 90 days will be dedicated to setting up our website, newsletter, and initial content in the forms of videos and articles. We will create an initial strategic marketing campaign and will build our list accordingly. After the first 90 days we will evaluate the performance of this campaign and adjust accordingly. Initial investment at this point should be less than $200.

The following 90 days will be dedicated to amended versions of our initial strategic marketing plan. The focus will be on content creation, PPC advertising, all in the purpose of building our list of prospective buyers. We will then funnel those prospects into our email newsletter that will promote several green energy products to them. This period will involve multiple split testing and data analysis, so that our efforts are more productive.

^^^ Do you know what I'm saying here? This is ACTUALLY a plan, whereas your 3 lines were just a thought. This should help you, so I'll leave you to it.

        Exactly. That's a plan.

One thing that helps me is to pretend that I'm going to pitch the idea to a potential investor.

If I walked into a meeting and was like:

"I'm going to build a site and build links to it...I just need a niche."

I don't think I'd be walking out of there with a check.

So pretend that you NEED for this plan to work. What specific steps are you going to take?

If you're not sure, that's OK. It just means you need to learn some more. But don't use learning as an excuse for inaction. Learn while you build your site/business.

Ggreat! You have the determination and the drive to walk towards your goal.

Well, It is good to check yourself what you like to do, where are you right now and finally where you want to go(Your goal). In this case, understanding fundamentals is vital. There are divergent openioins, you need to slow down a little and work on your plan first then take actions.

Two most important things a) your schedule b) your budget.

You may need to think about the monthy expenses of your business plan if you plan to launch (many many websites), SEO may be expensive depending on the niche.

Find a relianble method you like to implement(i.e. wso/other), get started and test it first then improve and grow.

For niche help check niche sherpa, it might be a great resource for you.
