Fellow Warriors, I need some Advice!!

This morning I got a call from a Top Digital Agency specializing in SEO, PPC & SMM to come work as a Junior Account Manager for them... Sounds really awesome and plenty of Incentives and Benefits not to mention extra Training, But I currently run my own Part time Digital Agency and make a good amount of money! The thing is they offering me around 40-45k a year to work Full-time? I personally feel like my services are worth more (sorry if I sound cocky, but my time is valuable to me)
The only reason I'm actually contemplating is because I love the environment they have and knowing I will be with like Minded people all the time sounds cool?!!

My original Plan was to take a bit of a break and go to the USA for a couple of months for holiday and networking...

I'm currently 21 and this is a huge opportunity to establish my self in AUS, but both USA and the Job opportunity sounds tempting!

I would normally ask advice of those that have some kind of influence, but they would obviously suggest the 9-5 as it is the "norm" and "stable"

so what do you guys think?

I'd take it, even if for a short period. The information, skills and connections you make will be priceless.

Where do you live now? And how did you get the job?

I would take it. Hands down. You can still do internet marketing on the side, and $45k aint nothing to sneeze at. You will have money to blow ALL the time. TAKE THE JOB.

  • If you are ok financially right now, then value your freedom and stay self employed.
Only if you are struggling for cash, then take the job. 40-45k is a nice income for most, but it sounds as if you would rather have your freedom, and yes you are worth more than what the company is going to pay for your time. That's how they profit you see. They bill the client $1000's of dollars, and pay you a few bucks an hour.

I too agree that The connections I will make will result into Future clients and deals, but then yet again I can do that by networking and surrounding myself with the right people?..

@ abozeb, I'm currently living in Aus, I hijacked one of their clients lol, so I guess they were impressed with my strategies...

@ stoltingmediagroup, Very true... I think it's why us IMers choose this path, It's the freedom that comes with it

If you currently are making good money from your own company PART TIME... The obvious answer to your question is screw the job and put the full time hours into your own company.

I built my marketing company as a hobby in college for beer money when I first started. By the time I was in my second semester I was making enough money to buy my first car and spent around $11,000 on trips.

I dropped out of college (at the same age you are now) to focus on my internet marketing company full time and made 5X more that year because of it.

That was six years ago and I have never looked back! Never had a job in the "real world" or a boss to tell me what to do! I think now because you currently work for yourself, having a boss to report to will honestly drive you crazy.

Make the switch working on your successful company from part time to full time and the 40k they are offering you will seem like chump change.

Want to be surrounded by like minded people? Attend networking events, conferences and meet ups! Heck, somedays all it takes is working out of your local coffee shop for the day!
