AdWords is still the fastest way to get targeted traffic (if you want to invest).

Fair enough, but is google raising their bids on you since its an optin page? If you don't mind what is the max cpc you pay for each click.

      Much appreciated,

          Amazing.

          Exactly. And Bukowski kicks ass.

And to the topic of this thread. Yes, I still use Adwords all the time for list building.

And I have not had any effect with cost using landing pages. (if done right)

Just wondering what particular use this post was to the thread! maybe a good idea to let them know how to code it properly instead of mocking them.

Mel, I would like to start a campaign to do this, I wouldn't mind looking at some resources on how to do it correctly. It's been a while since I used adwords, and I know the whole thing has changed a great deal since then

He was responding to someone who "had" posted in this ad with blatant spam. But it was flagged and removed.

It does kinda. But I had reported the spam post pretty quick. So it didn't stick around very long.

              Hi,

back tpo the thread, i would say PPC can be costly & you dont really see the benefits until after a while, i do agreee this does offer targetted traffic but its expensice whereas other free ways of driving traffic have much great longevity rather than PPC campaign you onyl get what u pay for.

Your optin page could be wp blog with few articles and big box where you offer free ebook if someone subscribe to newsletter.
(just make page without ads or external links)

Your opt-in page could be a WP blog with a review of the product you are selling.
Just a single post containing the review and on the sidebar, you'll have your
big box where you give out free ebook(s) in case you don't make a sale.
In this case you are giving your prospects two choices. Either they buy
          or they sign up.

          Hope that was useful?

The shortcut with Adwords is to simply grab the keywords your competitors are using and then just plug them into your own campaign. After that, all you have to do is just out market them and out do them in terms of click through rates and reap the lower costs per click. It's really as simple as that

With Adwords, this principle is all the more important if you don't want to throw away money on untested keywords.

This process is easily done with services like Spyfu.

    I use it faithfully...

Adwords is the best. In fact, there is no other single method of driving traffic, using the internet that's more effective.

In all of my experiences, I've had more success with PPC than organic traffic.

This works great for me because I'm not an SEO guy... SEO is a big waste of time to me. But don't let me be a bad influence when it comes to SEO.
