Email marketing service for web design companies?

I've got three markets to offer my email marketing service (strategy, copy, design, analytics, delivery).
  • Web design companies in my city (they might pay less as they know many parts of email marketing)
  • Other businesses (they might higher as I can handle their entire email marketing service, might be tough to)
  • Work with one niche (might take longer to break into)

Web design companies
+ Already understand the need for it
+ I understand their business a little
+ Might refer their clients if they're happy; they can also offer email design and management as a service
- Might be picky
- Might pay less

Other businesses
- Might be tough to get into
+ Might pay high
- It might take some time to understand their business / industry

    Actually, web design companies with more than a superficial knowledge of email marketing might pay more, with less resistance, for a competent, reliable service provider. Especially if you can work out a deal where they offer the service and then subcontract to you.
