Outside the box ideads to monetize a site

I built a site a few weeks ago, The intention behind the site was more of a learning process than anything else, (I am studying PHP right now and tinkering with twitters bootstrap) I have thrown a few Adsense ads on the site, but I am thinking there are much better ways to monetize it in the mean time.

I have considered added an email form at the end to "Get your results" but I don't want to kill the site yet by requiring it at this point, I am getting around 100-200 unique visitors a day now.

I am thinking about one of those "Sign up here to enter to win a free iPad" types of things, but I have no idea where I get connected for those types of programs, what networks they are through..

Again the intention was not to make money off the site, but if someone has an outside the box idea that they wouldn't mind sharing would be great!

    If you want to monetize the site you need traffic, no traffic equals no money with whatever way you decide to monetize.

    But it is very important to determine first how you want to monetize so you can identify to what market your site appeals to. So you know what kind of traffic you need to get.

    Which ever way you choose you should always capture emails, even if you want to go the CPA route you should build your list from day 1.

    How are you driving traffic? For this type of website, think the best way would be social media.

      I really haven't done much at all to drive traffic, I did the quiz myself, posted it to my FB wall, had a few friends do it as well. and now traffic is just trickling in. I would love to find a strong CPM network to hook up with, but I don't think those exist anymore.

    What you are looking for is a cpa offer. Search for cpa companies offering email/zip code submit offers to post that "win a free <sumthin>" offers.

      What networks offer the best / most choices? (I'm hoping it does/doesn't happen. Just on a small shared account, already transferred a bunch of stuff to CDN just in case.)
