How much does a motivation website make and how to they make money?

I was also wondering if buying a domain name on GO-DADDy is a good idea?

Is a blog a smart idea? Do they produce income?

You can build a site like this pretty easy. I'd suggest you put together a blog that also cross sells videos or webinars where people can pay a fee and get to the paid content. The idea is that you market yourself in your blog and get picked up in google as well as shared in a viral way, then offer people on your email list or just advertised on your site the ability to see some content for a fee. You might even be able to use this to schedule live speaking engagements which would also have an entrance fee.

If you want my opinion, first, you're getting ahead of yourself.

The niche is a bad pick. You'd be better off making a new phone, and competing with Apple.

Anytime I think of a new idea, I always imagine myself on that tv show "The Sharks". I really try to imagine how those 5 people would react to my idea. If I went on and said "I want to make a motivational blog and make money", they would kick me off the show immediately.

One of the most valuable skills a person can learn is objective self criticism. Never to the point where it ruins your self esteem, but to the point where it forces you to make smart decisions.

Lots of people like motivational stuff. So naturally lots of people try to sell motivational stuff. If you can't distinguish yourself in a completely innovative, unique, and valuable way, you don't have much hope imo. Unless you get an endorsement by Tony Robbins himself. But either way, when you choose a bad niche, you wind up creating so much work for yourself, that it enslaves you to failure imo.

I just don't understand why so many newbies go after the most popular niches.

You will get many different answers, but its far better to look for small, isolated niches that noone even know exists.

Or create your own niche/service/product that people have a need for.

Off the top of my head, I can think of a ton. Pill cutters are popular, one thing I've always wanted to do is make a more sensitive pill cutter. Something that can measure pills by the mg. This is an example of a niche many people don't care about, but there is a need for.. and if this need was met in the right way, it could be highly profitable.

If you want to be successful, don't pick a competitive niche, THEN decide to get creative.

Get CREATIVE BEFORE you PICK your NICHE.

Thats the best advice I can give any newbie.

If you get that part right, you'll be ahead of most people who are falling into the same trap you are.

Ya you could do this pretty easily on wordpress and there are a whole bunch of different ways to monetize... the best and most lucrative way would be to create your own products for them though.

You seem to be too far from knowledge from the questions you are making. You should seriously study internet marketing and understand the basics before spending your money and wasting your time with something that won't be profitable.

Read many posts at the Warrior forum and study everything with all your attention.

You can make lots of money with a motivation website but you have to be good and very motivational. You can make money by attracting companies and events that pay you to speak for them.

It takes lots of skill, time, and effort, but it can be done.

Try researching the niche. It would be best to plan and research the niche before skidooshin ahead of yourself.
