Is it SEO? Facebook? Craigslist? Twitter? AdWords? Other?

Favorite traffic sources are of course always the free and targeted ones. Some of our websites still rank high in Google and some other engines for their keywords, therefore that traffic source would definitely be the favorite. 2nd would be our affiliates, who in turn use all the sources you mentioned and others.

Depends for what you're talking about but I like newsletter traffic the best. If you're talking about free traffic i like youtube

  Blogging, free special reports planted in various places (including forum signature lines), Squidoo (yes, it still brings in traffic), and I'm in the process of exploring Pinterest and Tumblr, and have high hopes. Oh, yes, and YouTube of course...
  
  Once I have set up my new contestburner software, I think that Facebook will quickly advance to becoming a favorite too.

There are many different traffic methods and I think it is important to test different sources so that I will know which methods work for me. I have learn a lesson that what works for one person does not mean that it will work for another person. It all about testing and tracking the marketing campaign.

My personal favorite method is a combination of free and paid traffic methods.

Currently it is from articles, and my signature on the forums. However I am going to start using You Tube, so I hope that will become my #1 source.

Blogging. It's simple, easy, customizable, and search engines love them. Plus you don't have to do any website design, or have a designer create your site. Add content and profit.... with minimum marketing strategies.

  I've recently started paying attention to Slidehare -- Upload & Share PowerPoint presentations and documents -- it seems to have lots of potential. However, it's still new to me, so I'm trying to work out what kind of content works well there.
  
  In conjunction with that, I'm creating small slide decks on my iPad using Haiku -- Presentation Software That's Simple, Beautiful, and Fun | Haiku Deck
  
  Other sources: Twitter, of course, and Google+ too. I'm paying more attention to it now, I prefer it to Facebook.

If paid one it would be Adwords and Adcenter. The traffic will be highly targeted if you how to play with it.

Depends on product. If you want to sell to individuals professionals, then linkedin would be a good idea.

For younsters and teen agers and other specific products facebook is a good resource.

For Internet Marketting related products, this forum and other internet marketting forumes are great resources.

But i generally use craigslist for driving traffic with good success.

  Adwords has worked fine for me since I moved from Affiliate marketing to helping businesses get their footing on the Big G. I will also have to put article marketing into the list. The last time I logged into my clickbank account was sometime in 2010 and I am still getting checks from them, all thanks to the articles I posted

For me free traffic sources are the favorite sources. Newsletter marketing acts a great traffic source for me. You can also rely upon blogging, forum signature for having great free traffic source.

It depends on my campaign targets; but I often like to test the waters with methods like organic SEO traffic, off-page link building and then if I am cool with the results, switch over to PPC - Facebook most times.
