InfusionSoft, OfficeAutoPilot, GreenRope, Kajabi, Nanacast... which one???

Hi warriors,

We are looking for an "all-in-one" online business platform that will manage and automate the following key operational functions.

- Landing Pages, sales pages (with Video)
- Payment processing (options for CC via Eway plus Paypal)
- Automated content delivery
- Content protection (eg: 30,60,90 days access, Pay-per view etc)
- TRIGGER BASED auto-responder (or integration with 3rd party) ie when someone buys product Y they can be automatically added to email list X.
- Shipping tracking that supports Aus Post or can accommodate custom modules.

WE ARE CURRENTLY USING
the following popular but poorly integrated systems to achieve a partial solution.
- Wordpress custom theme for landing pages/content
- BigCommerce for payment processing and shipping
- Wishlist Member (WP plugin) for membership site.
- Aweber for email marketing/autoresponders.

Essentially we are looking for a shopping cart, marketing, content delivery, membership site and email autoresponder all seamlessly integrated in the one platform.

We know of InfusionSoft, OfficeAutoPilot, GreenRope, Kajabi, Nanacast etc. But are not sure which of these systems is able to do everything we need. Considering the ongoing monthly fees we were hoping to find one platform to manage everything.

Note: We are based in AUS and have some limitations around payment processors and shipping providers.

Would LOVE to hear from anyone with first hand experience using these platforms (or others) to save us days researching and testing them all ourselves.

Thanks

**PLEASE ONLY RESPOND IF YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT A RECOMMENDED PLATFORM WILL DO EVERYTHING ABOVE**

You're going to get Jack saying: "I absolutely LOVE platform X and it has the best customer service ever!!! And Jill will be saying: "When platform X crashed on me costing me thousands in sales their support was not helpful at all, I HATE platform x!!
Meanwhile both Jack and Jill will know nothing about your business nor what you really need in the back end. You need to test these systems yourself.
Some of your requirements may require you to have a programmer on hand to do some custom coding, however much of what you need comes standard.

I'm using 1shoppingcart, and mostly am pretty happy with it.

It IS a very comprehensive and integrated solution, including autoresponder (broadcast and sequential autoresponder), shoppingcart, affiliate program, and also all sorts of store design solutions (as of late) that I have NOT tried out (I prefer to create my own websites and blogs).

Their rules about autoresponders are more flexible than Aweber's - you can turn double opt-in on and off, and you can move people from one autoresponder to another. Also, anytime someone purchases something, they're automatically considered opted in even if you have the double opt-in feature turned on. That's handy because they will get your emails even if they fail to confirm...

Their support is a bit iffy, and I dislike that they have started charging extra for it, and they're also ratcheting up their pricing, both in terms of amount, and in terms of the length of time it covers (having reduced their previous monthly payment plan to a 4-week plan, which means, they have gotten almot 10% more expensive right there.

They do accommodate international customers, so it should work in Australia.

They do not have a membership program though, and if you use them with PayPal, it's difficult to set up recurring payment with them.

Would I buy it again? Haven't found a better all-in-one solution yet, and of course switching shoppingcarts/autoresponders is a daunting process.

      Hope this is helpful.

        Thanks Word Wizard.
I am familiar with 1ShoppingCart, but does it have trigger-based actions such as "When someone buys product X they are automatically moved to email list Y"? Platforms such as Infusionsoft, OfficeAutoPilot and GreenRope can do this but am unsure if they cover all of the other requirements.

Also what is the extent of the it's content delivery and protection options?

When you set up the product, you can specify which autoresponder you want them to be subscribed to. And in that autoresponder, you can specify which OTHER autoresponder they should be unsubscribed from. So yes, you can make that happen automatically.

As far as content delivery - if you have the pro version (which also includes the affiliate program), you can upload the product and it will be delivered by them. The only problem with that it only delivers one product per order. Unless they changed that.

I am now using the slightly less expensive version, so I just send them to a download page. And I'm changing those to membership sites for greater security and better bonding with my buyers ;-)

          Hope this helps.

            Thanks Elizabeth.
Interesting about the auto subscribe/unsubscribe feature.

Yes, delivery of single digital products is old news but what if your product is say a digital course with several videos/powerpoint/pdf, then the typical next step is to deliver these through a membership site which you are now in the process of doing.

I take it you are not using 1shoppingcart for the membership section of your site. What are you using, and how are you managing the integration between both? Will this be automated (transparent process with single signup) or will you manage manually?

We're looking for seamless integration and user experience through all parts of the platform.

      Thanks. Point taken.
Though at this stage rather than receiving subjective opinions on whether a platform is inherently "good" or "bad" we are more interested in determining which platforms (if any) are capable of performing ALL of the functions we require.

Product tours and feature lists can't provide enough detail to make a decision. There can also be a large disparity between what a product claims and what it can do (easily). So we were hoping that those with first hand experience may be able to advise on feature sets and functionality in more detail to help reduce our own testing and research.

Thanks Massarogi. We're using a similar system to Shopify right now, and it does seem like a very powerful shopping cart, but even with it's army of apps I'm not sure it can be considered in the same league as some of the fully integrated business automation platforms already mentioned.

Does it support digital video delivery with different access/protection options?
How about trigger based actions? ie when someone buys product Y they can be automatically added to email list X. I looked at the Mail Chimp integration app and couldn't see that it supported this.

You should also consider using Wordpress. There are some really beautiful LP themes to give your site a professional look. For the ecommerce part I would recommend you the free plugin 'WooCommerce'.
It is also adjustable to the max and many themes are compatible with it.

    Sincerely,

      Thanks Mindwire,

The problem is that we need a fair bit more than just beautiful Landing Pages and a shopping cart. This is essentially the system we're currently running. We also need to incorporate password protected content delivery, complete action-based integration with email marketing/autoresponder and CRM etc

Although I love WordPress I think we would be stretching it to it's limits and beyond to try to produce such a system cobbled together with a dozen different plugins. It just isn't the robust, seamlessly integrated solution we were looking for.

I don't think you will be able to find a ready made system that meets all your needs. You will have to do some custom work on one / two platform that meets most if your needs. A hosted ecommerce solution is not going to be very flexible, so I will not recommend that.

Wordpress obviously is a good choice and you may use it with a membership plugin to meet your CMS / protected content needs. Autorepsonder etc is pretty easy, you have tons of plugins for that or you may simply do some coding at the payment processing page.

For ecommerce, you can use a wordpress ecom plugin or if that doesn't look very exciting, you may use a proper ecommerce script as well. My recommendation is to keep everything under wordpress and that would be lot easier in overall management.

There are manay wordpress plugins for both commerce and membership and I would personaly recommend wishlist (WishList Member | Membership Site Software) for the membership side. All small things you need can be custom coded to the wordpress and you will obviously need someone technically skilled for the integrtion.

I just sent you a PM with a more detailed answer containing additional references

We have lots of Aussie users doing similar business model as you have described.

Here is an interview I did with one last time I was in Australia detailing his experience:

He was an infusionsoft user before he came to Nanacast. He now uses both Nanacast and Office Auto Pilot in his business to run a very similar business model to the one you describe.

One more advice: "when it's running and making you $$$ don't touch it". Any change could affect it... There's a reason why it WORKS!

But then, of course if you are very sure that's the right things to do and it shouldn't affect it.

I would try it on a different server one by one... Just don't forget to use it as a customer when you are testing it.

Don't forget to ask questions: Is is pain free? How does it improve my life(as a customer)?

If you feel that your customer needs to learn something new, be ready to lose them(I hope you don't), it's just that there's a learning curve.

    I would recommend:
    Kajabi and InfusionSoft.
