    Hi Pingsters,

This article marketing question comes up very frequently here. There are tons of threads on it. You'd probably be better off having a good search through other threads.

Having said that, I personally would just scale up the $200 a day Craiglist thing you have going on in your signature.

      This is excellent advice.

I did some number crunching and found that if he posted 6 ads a day to Craigslist, instead of his current 3 a day, he could make $400 a day.

Articles works of course as long as you do it properly. I would suggest to have a quality article of at least 450 words.

Generally, 400 words and above. Ezine,Goarticles and many more. Yes, place your link at the bottom within your bio. Don't depend on them for traffic. Make use of them as backlinks for low competition keywords on your website

    Not necessarily true.

Article marketing is definitely still effective if the content is good, which is always the key.

Article directories' rules/policies about this vary. But article directories are the least important and significant part of article marketing. It will definitely not be worth your while trying to do article marketing if your main concern is to use article directories and make your articles suitable for article directories.

There's only really one well-known article directory that's worth talking about or using anyway ("Ezine Articles") and it's only an afterthought to the article marketing process.

It's unlikely that articles much under 1,000 words are going to be widely published anyway: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post3188316

Only EZA, really. And probably only after everything else you use your articles for.

By having each article published as widely as possible in front of the already-targeted traffic you want to attract, i.e. on relevant sites, in relevant ezines and magazines, and so on.

Like almost everything else in internet marketing from which large numbers of people are genuinely making good livings, it all boils down to quality and relevance.

Here's a one-post overview of "why you wouldn't ever want customers finding an article directory copy of your article".

Here's a one-thread overview of "why it's a big mistake to put into an article directory any articles that haven't been published and indexed on your own site first".

Yes; like this, normally. Bear in mind that the more you make that link sound "salesy" or like "a call to action", the fewer, overall, are the people who will publish the article anywhere that really helps you.

Please excuse the observation that - like those posting above - I also think you'd probably be far better off just doing a little more on Craigslist and making $400 per day from that instead of the $200 per day you're making now. That's perhaps better for yourself than needing to learn an entirely new, completely different and very time-consuming business model with a long and not-always-smooth learning-curve?
