How to track if people are buying from my funnel?

This is a newbie question but I just can't figure it out. I have an autoresponder setup in Aweber and people sign up through my blog. I sell my WP plugin in the 4th email sequence which is a JVZoo product.

How the heck to I track if people are buying from that link to see if it's effective?

  • You'd need some tracking software.

    How it works is the software gives you a redirection url, such as tracking.com/youproduct, and that redirects to the actual url. This tells you if the link was clicked, but then because it's not your product, you have no control over the destination page. You could potentially ask the owner of the product to put a tracking pixel on the delivery page (that comes after the sale has been made) if you wanted to track the whole funnel.

    AdTrackz Gold does that, as does Prosper202, HyperTracker and a bunch of others...

    • Currently I am but I guess I could use a different link for each place I sell the product. But how can I track if they actually buy the product vs just seeing if they click the link?
  • One of the most obvious ways is to check your paypal account.

    You can also check the reports tab in aweber.
