Do you get paid for emails collected by Click Bank products you promote?

Ever notice that many CB products have sales pages that have popup email collection box? I never promote these types of products although they do have YUMMY gravity ratings because of these email collection boxes.

Unfair to affiliates? Or just brilliant way for list builders to build a massive list quickly?

It's not unfair to affiliates because any affiliate with half a brain will check out the offer they are promoting before they promote it. So they would see the popup box and if they choose to promote it, that is their own choice.

Any super affiliate worth their weight would never send traffic to a salespage collecting leads. Super affiliates would first send those people to their own optin page, collect those leads, and then send them to the salespage. This way they control the followup sequence and they can promote more than one offer to that lead. It's a much smarter way of doing things.

Why give your leads away to someone else?

    Hi writeaway,

Your gut is right for not promoting. Even though some say "your cookies will stick", I don't believe them. It's too easy to collect the lead, clear your cookies, then mail to get 100% commission.

Clickbank should not allow pages with optins or popups to collect emails... but they do. heh.

You have a point. It impacts newbs worse than veteran marketers. It is s backdoor way of building a targeted list.
