Tips for Buying a Resale Domain Name

Hi Warriors,
A friend of mine is building a venture funded company and they have their sights set on a 5 letter english-word-like .com domain that's owned by a professional domainer. They have asked me to help with the acquisition, so I'd like to ask the Warriors for strategy tips on how to assess the value of the domain, and how to acquire at a low price.

Well, tell your "friend" we can't really help unless we get some more info. Is it something like WQSDF.com or MONEY.com there's a big difference...
Also, if you are dealing with a "professional domainer" i don't think you or your friend are going to have any luck acquiring it at a low price...

Some more info would be nice.

But if you already have a domain in mind, you really don't have much bargaining power.

I use dotcom profit sniper to find potentially valuable domains on godaddy auction.

With it you can get the age,pr,tlds, and more. Pretty great software

There are multiple things that go into the analytic's of valuing a website/ domain name. However a quick tool in which you can use to show them, and do research with is: siteprice.org or valuate.com
