You can make training videos , and sell it online .
create free ebook , from your knowledge , give it when someone opt in to your landing page .
then promote your main product , the video series .

    Good luck

Whats the difference between a marketer and an ordinary human being in terms of fitness? Body health, shape, build up etc...

Why not just use your marketing skills to become an authority within the fitness niche instead of trying to creat some sort of hybrid?

why if your niche is fitness are you building sites for people? Start network marketing co in the fitness arena there is already one or two out there (WINK) or if you really love selling services you'd be better of selling fitniess pictures (PEOPLE IN PARICULAR) really those in the fitness niche or weightloss niche will kill for those. Just find out where your niche is hanging out (LIKE ALL OVER THE PLACE LOL)

You have the knowledge in great, evergreen niche, i would make a video membership site with upsell to private coaching.
No need for this weird hybrid

It seems to me the natural way to combine them is to create a fitness program that other people can sell for you.

Focus on your expertise to create the product, then use the best practices of IM to have others market it for you.

    Bingo.

Sorry if my initial thread was unclear

I am looking for ways to combine the 2.

Wondered how many marketers would be interested in a fitness program specially for Internet Marketers or stay at home workers

I know when I started working online I started to gain weight. I hear it all the time on here and other places working from home is all about getting up late and working in pyjamas.

I am really focussed on staying in shape and making a full time living online.

I currently balance the two but would love to somehow combine them together

Perhaps a membership site with daily workouts and diet plans?

Would any marketers here be interested in something like that?

You're on the right track and I'm sure there's a market for it.
If you are going to make videos, make them interesting, funny, catchy etc.

      This.... Is boring

It gets active at 2:43 - before that, it's mostly talk.

Maybe get some fit looking girls in there as well.
(I prefer to watch girls exercise).
      Hope this helps.

An alternative strategy could be as an affiliate, find a product on clickbank, create your webpage & with your skills & knowledge of the niche you will be well placed to write 'great copy', review products etc.

Once up & running you could create your own video, training program & lead to membership site...cah chung :-)

Combine them only if the niche exists. Don't just go and start creating niches that nobody is in. My guess is that if you have to ask this question, then you:

    1) Haven't done your market research
    2) Created the product before finding the niche

Both are damaging. Make sure the niche exists first before creating any products for it.

I personally would like to have such kind of service or products

Just some VERY random and "subjective" brain-storming...
My Problem for keeping fit and healthy as a Internet Marketer...

      1) Tend to skip meals yet over eat when I am hungry
      2) Tend to eat "junk food" just to keep myself awake.
      3) Bad sleeping habit
      4) Can't keep a real "offline" schedule in tact

      Some random ideas....
1.) Find 1-3 internet marketers / office workers that you can train in person
2.) Document the process and their progress in videos
3.) Create other relevant materials for freebies (Super food, Time Management...etc)
      4) Package them as entry level product or even freeboes
      5) With back end relevant Affiliates Recommendation (Health Food, and home office fitness equipment...etc)
      6) Offer One to one fitness consulting (Offline or online)

It's Random I Know! But a mentor once told me...Never underestimate your random thoughts and Never STOP thinking!

      Cheers

        Hey Jason!

        Love you thinking!

This is a sure fire great idea. I have copied and pasted your post and printed it out and will stick it on my wall! I will brainstorm around it as I really like the idea of taking marketers who are out of shape and doing a case study

        Thanks Jason

Just an old school perspective here but, what if from this point on no one took a chance anymore to create a new niche and even possibly open doors for others. If everyone thought that way, we would be like a stagnant bucket of water collecting dead mosquitoes resulting in west nile virus killing everyone! (last sentence added for dramatic effect.)

Not arguing with you Randall. I respect your IM knowledge etc, however personally I prefer to carve niches, (especially if I am passionate about something) rather than waiting for someone else to do it, and then possibly in a few years when it becomes mainstream, then finally jump into it.

In addition, FitMarketer has a chance to possibly even save the life of someone sitting at home right now clogging up their arteries or gaining weight to the point of serious health issues. They may have been looking for something like this that they can do at home. But if FM decided not to create it simply because the niche was not popular, profitable etc, then that would be a great injustice.

Well you could start some kind of health site for people who work from home and sit in front of the computer for several hours every day. You could also include monitor recommendations, fitness recommendations and so on. There are probably millions of people who work from home, so the potential is out there.

Its a good niche to create.
Sometimes people working form home do not have enough time to exercise, since they have to balance home and work. You could emphasize on 10 minute exercises to keep yourself fit.
Maybe even have a video of exercises that can be done sitting on the chair.
You could also focus a bit on the meditation part of being fit(mental fitness). For an internet marketer, slowing down the thinking process once in a while can really improve their concentration and have a good impact on their overall fitness.

I made a benchmark a year ago, and I found a niche where the guy made up some million dollars selling a product in this niche.

I want to develop something like that by myself, but I don1t have expertise. I need a partner. If you have interest, send me a private message.

I believe you have gained some experience on the Fitness industry.Think of Internet Marketing for you as a way to expand the frontiers of your offline classes and fitness sessions. It really will help you this way. i.e The Internet is a tool to make you reach far more higher and larger prospects across many countries in lesser time and providing relatively more comfort to you.

Something like this could do well. You could also target businessmen who work from home or even office workers at the same time. We all have the some problem... we spend WAY too much time sitting down.

Hey if you are fitness expert I have these ideas for you -
    (1) Start your own fitness blog. Provide some genuine tips to your readers. Make it as authority blog and earn through it via Google Adsense.
    (2) Second option is try to write your fitness tips EBOOK and try to launch it as CLICKBANK product or somewhere else. Promote it or ask some top affiliate marketers by giving 100% commission to them. This will land you more cash than first one. this one is also less time consuming.

    Hope you like my ideas

The problem is I think all Internet Marketers know what they SHOULD be doing to keep fit and eat healthy. The fact is they don't do it because they get so caught up in work. It's not a lack of knowledge thing but rather a lack of discipline... as is the whole fitness industry really. Everyone knows they should move more and eat less.

I think the best market you could be in is teaching private personal trainers how to take their businesses to the next level. There are so many of them out there nowadays and you can charge them a lot more than the overweight IM guy who has no money.

I would second this advice. Most of the fitness programs I've been asked to look at tend to either be really boring, preachy or assume that I'm as excited about the subject as the creator.

Besides, if you believe the posts and sigs around here, about half seem to be in the health and fitness niches already...

Ryan is a great guy who I have had the pleasure of also meeting in person. He is responsible for some of the biggest internet fitness success stories out there.

Before I had IM as an solid income I had online poker as my main income.
In poker forums we always joked about "poker bodies". I`m not sure if internet marketers are that easy to "convert" but you can sure try

I don't know if there is something like this..but I think it would be an interesting idea. Online private training sessions - via skype webcam. You could train people live without having to meet them, or they coming to you. Explaining exercises, diets, etc...everything in a paid video skype session. This way you would have access to clients all over the world.

I think something like this would be much better than just watching a video without the possibility to ask questions.

You can record all the video calls and put them on your site.

    Here's a marketing perspective...

It makes a lot of sense to target smaller (narrower) segments or categories of people within a broader market i.e. in this instance the broad weight loss niche.

    Why?

Because although audience your "reach" decreases, your ability to really zero-in and understand the specific wants, needs, fears, frustrations and challenges of your market, is greatly increased.

A big mistake many marketers make (especially those new to IM), is to target a market that is way too wide. What this means is they try and please everyone...

And end up pleasing very few.

Your audience desperately wants to be understood and if you show this in your marketing you're golden. Better to have your marketing communications targeted so you REALLY resonate with your audience. It's the most effective way of building trust, brand and authority.

I think for your idea to work you really need to think about the way you position your product... because people in this niche are often desperate to make money online, however they're not then keen on being taught how to behave.

But the fact you may be the first person to attempt this works in your favour....

Because you sell more if you position yourself first in a niche market.

I'll have a think on some branding ideas and get back to you later, hopefully some warriors who agree with me (if any) will share some of their ideas.

    Hope this helps.

    Garry.

Not for nothing, but I think this niche may be too limiting. Besides, as a full-time in-home IM, I go to the gym everyday....just to get out of the house, if nothing else. I would HATE to workout at home. I would never, ever maintain it.

But that is just me. Do serious and committed people really achieve success working out at home?

If you spend a lot of time IMing, then you definitely have a need for fitness. I know I feel very unhealthy after working all day on the computer. But then, anyone who works at a desk, not just marketers need that!

You know, if someone offered me something, like a sort of fitness program, that reminded me at regular intervals (over the computer where I was working) to stop and do whatever- 20 jumping jacks, whatever, so that over the course of the day I got in an hour of exercise both cardio and strength in small bite sized pieces...and these intervals would also be giving me a much needed break from work but not taking me away from it so long that I feel like I am not getting things done...well I would pay for that service. So there you go....feel free to send me a thank you check when you make your first million
