Truth about Income Claims

Hello Warriors,

We have all been seeing those income claims from those who were able to make money on the internet. Some of us believe them, some of us don't and some of us just ignore the claims and buy the product only if we like it.

I have a quick heads up on how to read those 'screen shots' from their payment gateways.

I just visited a well known Marketer's site and here are the stats from his income proof:

400+ orders - $200,000+ made in one month (and millions made in a year)

Now don't just look at the dollar figure, look at the number of orders too and do the math. 200,000 dollars for 400 orders - you must be selling $500 dollars a piece on average!

Lessons Learnt:

Lesson number 1:

If you are dreaming to make that much money, you need to Consistently sell big ticket items. Now think about it - don't be a prey for that guru for his $1997 seminar just by looking at his income numbers. You need to work really hard to reach there.

Let me make myself clear, I don't want to start a guru bashing thread here. I request my fellow warriors to carefully read those sales letters between the lines and make an informed decision.

You can buy a whole lot more using that $1997.

Lesson number 2:

You can't make money by buying stuff, you have to sell stuff to get rich. take action now!

Lesson number 3:

You cannot get seriously rich by selling $7 items. I agree it's a good supplementary income, but may not qualify to make you rich.

Do the math again - If you want to make $200,000 in a year selling $27 dollar products, you need to sell 7410 pieces at that cost. Now how many of us have 7410 visitors to our sites, let alone customers.

(Even at a high 5% conversion rate, you need 148,200 visitors to your site to make it possible. And now at 50% affiliate commissions, you need to double all of these numbers. You think you can make it?)

Lesson number 4:

To sell so many pieces at $500 a piece, you HAVE to be a Guru in your field.
Get real friends!

Start learning the tricks of your trade and start believing that you are an EXPERT.
Be honest and showcase your expertise - that's how people come to know about you.

You can never get rich overnight. All of us know this - but still tend to forget?

Regards,
Aravind

PS: No offense meant to anyone.
PPS: I am not trying to discourage anyone.I am just trying to convey the truth as I understand it. If you don't do things differently, you will get the same results that you are getting now. Are you happy with your current results?

I never buy products based on income claims, it's what the product/service can do for you. I can't say I have consistent income yet I'm working hard to get there.

I guess people will buy a product based on the testimonies of some people who buys it first and tested it. And if they knew that the product is truly tested and yes they will buy it and give testimony of it.

Not only are those screen shots super easy to fake, but even if they are real, they only show gross income. How much was spent to get those sales is not accounted for. A screen shot showing a 10k day doesn't sound near so good if the person spends 9.5k to get it. They could have even lost money, you'd never know from screen shots.

Before buying stuff online, I scour the net for feedback and other reviews. Some testimonials are too good to be true. Most of them are paid to do the testimonial anyway. It's easy to manipulate numbers.

it took me a while to figure out that to really rake in
the big bucks you need to make your offer a locus
of attention with significant number of people who are
    able to respond and buy.

There is a factor of perceived "pre-eminence" that will
consistently funnel large amounts of money to those who
are perceived as being the "best" while those who haven't
been able to get that perception will have to build their
    offers around other factors.

"Positioning" is one word for pre-eminence in marketing.
It can seem tough to compete with the big players -
and frankly many marketers are engaging in JV-behavior
which siphons their best prospects off their lists and
onto the lists of more "pre-eminent" marketers. Not
such a good plan I think.

    Brings up many valuable points.

    Screenshots are easy to fake.
Even if income claims are real, they usually don't divulge the overhead/advertising costs, spent to get a high gross income. Net = Bottom Line is what's important.

Become the expert in your field (no one will buy from a novice) and brand yourself.
