What makes you buy a certain WSO????

Hello Warriors,

Hope you are doing well!

I was wondering....

What is the key thing that makes you buy or not a WSO. What actually are you looking for, when surfing the WSO section?

Actually the price isn't the main factor I look at. There are some WSO's that make me wanting them.

I really take a look at two things:

1 - What does the author promise with the WSO
2 - Are there other warriors that claim they have achieved that.

If so, I would definitely give it a try!

It's your turn now...

    Information WSO:
I won't buy any more WSOs unless I am convinced there's going to be something new and different. I have seen too many that are rehashes of many others.

    Software/plugins
Most of those I see are no improvement over similar ones that are free. Anything by a developer without a track record has to get over the concern that they will be around to maintain it. I've see too many abandoned orphans out there.

    Most people look for the answer to the million dollar question;

    How to make money online...
    The most viewed wsos seem to follow that trend;
'How i make $1000 per day..'
    'college drop out makes...'

    Hi,

    that's a good question.

Often it will be on impulse, if the product is something related to the project that I am working on at the time.

For example, if I am trying to promote affiliate products and a WSO is targeted at improving affiliate sales or profits then I would at least read the WSO, if it looked as if it would help me there would be a good chance I would buy it.

The price would come into the decision. If a product looked as if it could save me a lot of time or increase my profits, then it could be a worthwhile investment.

I hope this helps to answer your question.

The price doesn't really matter to me.
I only buy WSO's that relate to something that I want to know more about.
Other than that I don't really buy wso's

    There's two things really.

First, it has to meet a need that I'm seeking.

Second, it should have great reviews; or otherwise be from a creator that I trust..

This. It must be a product that I actually NEED and it must be from a well respected member on this forum

What is the key thing that makes you buy or not a WSO. What actually are you looking for, when surfing the WSO section?
I do specific keyword searches for what I'm looking for the majority of the time. Sometimes I'm drawn back in from a google search to the wso's.

I'll admit that once in a while I will. Only the first few pages to see what everyone is launching and I like to compare the variety and see who is bumping consistently .

The surfing part typically does not result in any purchase, but is for my own amusement.

It has to be a subject that's of some possible interest/relevance to me in the first place, of course, and then these are my three main criteria ...
      • I don't buy anything (a WSO or anything else!) that makes any kind of express or implied income claim in the heading or sales post (fairly obvious and fundamental, of course!)
      • I don't buy anything without having heard of the vendor and checked out his interactions and apparent reputation here from his other, non-WSO posts
      • I don't buy anything without a couple of testimonials in the thread from respected Warriors who are known and trusted and have bought, paid for and actually used the product/service and comment on their results
(And like plenty of others here, I won't buy video WSO's at all - only PDF's.)

I agree with you completely. These are excellent standards any newbie should use these 3 points before buying a wso. I eventually learned this but it would have saved me a lot of money on useless garbage at the beginning.

Alex, when posting posts such as this it probably would be wise to turning off your signature for that post.

Your title is Re: What makes you buy a certain WSO????
You have a banner that says "Top WSO'S".

The first criteria that you say you look for is,
What does the author promise with the WSO.
In your sig it says "[Profits Funnels] - Gurus 'Business in a Box".

    The second is,
Are there other warriors that claim they have achieved that.
Your sig has a testimonial that says just that!
"Alex made my conversions sky rocket!!!"

Now don't get me wrong I'm not implying anything, I'm just stating what I would do to avoid accusations.

      Hello Joseph,

Thank you for sharing your opinion! I think you are right! I will definitely think about changing my signature.

The only statement of yours that I don't agree with is that I have done this post to drive traffic! (Yes, the traffic is bonus for me), but the main reason was to learn, how people buy WSO's, what makes them to take the decision.

Thank you for sharing your experience!

      Regards,

      Alex

You don't need to, Alex - you can just "not show it" in the individual post with which you start a thread discussing subject-matter relevant to your signature: right underneath the "submit" button, when you're posting, the top of the "miscellaneous options" is "Show your signature", and you just need to uncheck that one box, before submitting your post.

Alex, You did not read my post carefully, I asked you not to get me wrong and you did.

I didn't say that the post was to drive traffic as you can see in my comment below, I have seen most of your posts and nothing leads me to believe that you would do something sneaky intentionally.

I was just giving you a tip that most of us do when encountering this sort of scenario.

Like many above, I rarely "surf" the WSO section anymore. I may have missed some great WSO's but I also found that I have more of these things on my hard drive than I even know, and so if I'm up for surfing for new products, I often surf my hard drive.

What I do tend to buy when I come across it at the right time...

Tools (plugins) that help me do something I want to be able to do
How-To info on stuff I want to learn (much of it having to do with traffic and/or conversion), including on things like Tumblr and Pinterest.
I have a strong bias for PDF products rather than video products.
And I tend to buy from warriors who have delivered great info before.

I also like PLR products on niches I'm interested and/or active in.

I also evaluate the seller based on their other posts, especially non-WSO posts. I bought a few things that were, uhm, disappointing, and the seller disappeared. After checking out their previous posts, I realized I should have checked those beforehand. Now I do.

The only WSO's I will buy are the ones that will help me grow my business, mainly Traffic Generation products, because we all know traffic especially conversting traffic is the lifeblood IM. If its some get rich quick rubbish I tend to ignore those.

Actually, I don't surf the WSO section. I go there when I actually need a product or a course/info on something I need to know.

    I buy graphics
I buy software/plugins that will help me in my business
I buy an occasional info product relating to something I'm trying to do
I buy PLR products that help a job go smoother or quicker

I often buy a WSO from a respected member's signature, rather than by going to the WSO section.

I think some beginners do but then I think people catch on pretty quickly and realize they could spend a whole lot of money they don't have if they continue to do that.

I would only ever go to the WSO forum if I needed a particular tool or someone I respect had recommended something to me that would be of use to my current goals. If you are buying just for the sake of buying then unfortunately you are destined to never succeed.

Real reviews with real results. I know those are rare and not everyone who makes money will post but it's good to see results.

What actually are you looking for, when surfing the WSO section?
Not really surfing but any WSO that seems original.

Not looking at price but I know the OTO's will make it more expensive.

Here's something that will usually get me to buy a WSO:

    - Has PLR/MRR rights

I think I have only bought 1 WSO throughout my stay here.

    For me, what's important is:-

    1. Its relevancy to my project
    2. The sellers expertise
    3. Reviews
    4. Sales page

Before I buy any WSO, I check the following:

    1. Will I learn anything new?
    2. Does it have any real reviews?
    3. When I am really skeptical, I directly PM the people who bought the WSO and ask them if they found it useful. This is very helpful.
    4. Sometimes, I PM the Seller and ask them questions to see how they respond.
    5. Money back guarantee is one of the important things I consider

I only ever buy a wso if I know the creator, know that he or she delivers quality products and/or it's something which I would like to learn more about

I don't buy many wso's but I still buy the odd one if it looks good and it could add some extra fire power to my own campaigns/business

    (Here's a little tip)

As I am a wso seller myself I pay attention to epc's conversions and stats a lot and if I see a particular product converting really well on the upsells I may just buy the product to see how they are delivering their offers etc

Yes you do sometimes have to purchase a product to find out this info but often you can pick up some very useful and handy tips that you can use in your own products

It's all an investment into your own business at the end of the day

Also if you can find out what back end products certain wso sellers offer if you get on their list and this can sometimes be a lot more valuable than just the $8 or so that you paid for the product to get on their buyers list ;-)

The key or main reason for buying is the need for it and must not be the wants. Wanting to have something without even needing them leads to a much more complicated journey to success. :-)

If you are going to tell me a strategy for making money, my first thought will always be "Why are you selling the strategy instead of just executing it?"

Answer that question in your post and you have my attention.

For example, a strategy where someone brags about driving thousands of dollars per week to Amazon affiliate links isn't interesting because if it's as repeatable as you're saying, why don't you just keep doing it instead of selling a $7 guide? If it caps, say so... if you're already doing as much as you can possibly do alone, then the next logical step is selling the strategy to others so you can continue to monetize what you learned. That makes perfect sense. But if you don't TELL ME that then I think you're full of it.

The second part: qualify WHO will benefit from your information.

Testimonials sell, and the better you qualify your audience the better your testimonials will be. There was a great example on here with ronrule's WSO for driving sales to ecommerce sites. Some other guy copied the strategy and attempted to pitch it to everyone, not just ecommerce stores, and the majority of people who bought it were ticked off and demanded refunds because it didn't work for them. The qualifier made all the difference. The original was clearly defined that it was for ecommerce sites with shopping carts, and as a result everyone who bought it was getting great results and stating so in the thread. When the copycat tried to duplicate it with grandiose claims of making money, the whole thing fell apart real quick as people realized there was no way that strategy could possibly have worked.

If you're clear that your strategy will work for ME, you're more likely to get my money and a positive review. But if you're playing in the gray area, you're likely to get negative reviews which will kill your sales momentum.

There are two ways I get into the warrior forum WSO section.

The first is that a product is recommended by somebody I trust. Usually I am on their email list. If a person keeps recommending crappy products, I remove myself from their list.

When I get to the WSO, I read the sales copy, then I read all the comments to see what people are saying about the product.

If there are few comments then I am reluctant to buy. I am most interested in the comments of the seller. They will give you a good feel for the person.

The second reason I go to the WSO section is if I am bored and unmotivated. I will look for things that entertain me.

I read the sales copy to see what the current trends in copy writing are.

While I am browsing like this, I may buy WSOs that entertain me.

For example, new ways of doing things.

Products that explain things that I will need to do in the future.

I know I am not in a productive mood so I might as well learn something.
