Should I add new posts or just overwrite the PLR articles with my new articles?

Hello.

I bought another site that has PLR articles already posted in it.

Now I want articles to be unique so I outsourced article writing service to someone.

If the articles are now ready, is it okay for me to overwrite the content with my new unique articles or add new post and delete the PLR.

I'm concerned if there's any issue with how search engines are going to find it with my articles. I'm going to use the site for adsense approval.

I would recommend to stay unique with Google... Google is hard on people lately.
I would add 1 article per day...And later you can fade out the old ones and get rid of them...

You will be perfectly OK adding the new articles and leaving the old ones, though, personally, I would get rid of or rewrite the PLR.

    Hello Jensha

I would recommend leaving the PLR articles and re-writing them. Make them unique and add your own voice to them.

You can then add your original articles. If your new website is built on the WordPress platform - you can add all your articles and time them so that they post automatically at one a day.

Hi guys, thank you so much for the answers.

It is a wordpress website about Fat Loss. You know how saturated this niche is so I'm really planning of getting rid of the PLR articles.

I'm asking help on the manner how should I replace them and I think you have answered it now.

You see, we can either delete the entire post with PLR articles or just edit it and insert the new article that I bought.

I'm just asking since I'm not sure how search engines would find that action so I guess I'll just edit the PLR posts to overwrite them with unique ones instead of deleting them and adding a new post.

      Thanks guys!

By the way, thanks Clare but how do we do this exactly? Is this option really available at all Wordpress sites or do we have to buy a plugin for this?

        Hello Jensha

You can do this with all WordPress websites without the need for a plugin.

When you edit or add a new post look to the right and you will see the box where you can update or publish your post.

In that box you will see an option to publish immediately or you can set a future date.

        Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! I'm not a Wordpress expert and this information is really helpful so thanks.

Thank you! That's exactly the answer that I'm looking for. A reason to just overwrite the existing content of a PLR article in a post instead of deleting it. There are already links pointing to them so I guess this would be the best option for me. Cheers!

Delete your PLR and use new articles and this is the safest method.

It is really likely that someone else also uses that PLR content, so they may also harm your rankings.
Add fresh content on a daily basis (once or twice a day) and then, if you have enough unique content - get rid of the PLR articles!

The purpose of PLR content is to modify it and add your own unique touch to it, so yes, I would modify those PLR articles as well as add new ones that you write ourself. That will help to increase subscription rates, plus help in your ovrall conversion rates as well.

PLR was meant to be modified and changed, not left the way that it is. Too many people just leave the PLR content just as is, and that's not good for their business. Changing the content is what is highly recommended.

Keeping existing content, even if you modify it, is the best way to go. Dripping in the new stuff over a period of several days gives the search engine bots something to come back for

Both Carol and Clare have it right.

Since you're rewriting the content that's already there, you should replace it with the new, rewritten content.

If you just add it, you're more likely to have a problem since the old, similar PLR would still be there on your site. It may not be exact, duplicate content, but it's a terrible experience for the reader to see the same information presented twice.
Even if it's been rewritten, the message is the same.

For each rewritten article, just go into the original post and delete the old and paste in the new. Add an image as well, if there isn't one already there.

Just don't do it all in one day, but over a period of time instead. Google crawls sites when there's new OR changed content. So replacing the content gradually will help your SEO more.

Don't forget to add new content as well, not just replace the old!
